Does anyone else wonder if the Flash will ever circle back to the whole Carla being an ice meta thing from season 5?

Before going to Star Labs to talk to her team, Caitlin decided that first she needed to have a long conversation with her mom, since especially since now they had a cure for her dad that they can use to separate her father from Icicle permanently.

"Hello, do you have an appointment?" the receptionist at Tannhauser Industries said.

"Yes, could please let Dr. Tannhauser know that Dr. Caitlin Snow is here to see her." Caitlin said and the receptionist nodded.

"There's no need. I cleared my schedule when you told me you were coming." Carla Tannhauser said.

"Really, I'm still surprised you didn't make me wait a month for an appointment." Caitlin said, since she had to remember that she and her mom didn't have the relationship they did in the old reality. Or at least not yet. Hopefully after she restored her mom's memories, that would change.

"You're my daughter Caitlin, you're always welcome here, especially when you call ahead of time. Are you here to ask for a job here? Because there will always be a position open to you." Carla said.

"Yeah, not exactly. Can we talk in your office?" Caitlin asked.

"Of course." Carla said as she led Caitlin to the elevators.

"So, what's going on?" Carla asked as they got settled into her office.

"This." Caitlin said as she used the memory ring on her mom.

"Was that really necessary Caity?" Carla asked as she recovered from the brain dump.

"Sorry about the pain mom, but it's necessary for you to remember the way things were. Including Frost and that I know the truth about dad." Caitlin said.

"Can I speak to Frost?" Carla asked.

"No, only because she's not here." Caitlin said.

"What do you mean she's not here? Isn't she a part of you?" Carla asked.

"Not anymore. My friends at Star Labs and I found a way to physically separate Frost and I from each other. We're now two separate people." Caitlin said.

"Can I ask why? It seemed like you two liked your arrangement." Carla said.

"We did, until Frost realized that she wanted to start living her own life instead of just being a passenger. The only way either of us could live a full life." Caitlin said.

"Is if you each had your own bodies. I can understand that. I think we all forgot that she's not just a meta power, she was another person crammed inside your head with you." Carla said.

"Though that's not the only reason we decided to split. We also did it because of a serious difference between us that made sharing a body no longer an option." Caitlin said, since she knew that she had to come clean to her mom about this now.

"You mean that you're gay?" Carla asked with a smile, especially at the look on her daughter's face.

"You knew?" Caitlin asked and Carla chuckled.

"Caity, I may not have been the best mother to you growing up, but I am observant enough to notice my daughter spending very long amounts of time staring at other girls her age when she was growing up. I didn't say anything because it wasn't my place and I also knew that I hadn't earned that right, since as you've said repeatedly, I wasn't much of a mother to you." Carla said and Caitlin smiled.

"I'm not completely guilt free on that either, but, do you care?" Caitlin asked.

"As long as you're happy, then I could care less about who you date, unless they're a criminal. Especially since I hear you've done that at least once already." Carla said, referring to Caitlin's relationship with Zoom.

"Yeah, I'm running background checks on any girls I date." Caitlin said and Carla chuckled.

"But anyways, I think I can guess why you're here now besides coming out to me. The technology you used to separate yourself and Frost, do you think it would work for your father and Icicle?" Carla asked

"Possibly. My team at Star Labs still needs to run tests to make sure that there aren't any side effects, since no offense mom, since I know that this is one of the most advanced research facilities in the country." Caitlin said.

"But what you and Frost have done borderlines on the impossible, which I know is kind of Star Lab's deal. Honestly, if you reopen, you should consider making that your slogan." Carla said and Caitlin chuckled.

"I will keep that in mind." Caitlin said.

"So anyways, what kind of technology did you use to split yourself from Frost?" Carla asked.

"A quantum splicer specifically designed to set off a chain reaction that would destabilize mine and Frost's joint cells and force her ice healing to kick into overdrive and create a new body for her." Caitlin said.

"I'd like to examine it, since I've spent years analyzing your father's condition and there are some significant differences between you and Frost and him and Icicle. Most likely because the treatment he used on you was more refined." Carla said.

"I know, it's why Frost and I were able to coexist before our sexualities among other things became too much of a conflict." Caitlin said.

"So she's straight." Carla said, just because she was now wrapping her head around the idea that not only was her daughter gay, but she now had two daughters, one who was gay and the other was straight.

"Yeah. Trust me, it's even weirder for me since I lived it. But anyways, once we know that the splicer did it's job correctly, I'd be happy to let you examine it, since you can help me calibrate it a bit more dad's condition to be more effective." Caitlin said and Carla nodded.

"I am glad that we now have a relationship Caitlin and tell Frost that I'd like to try and form one with her too, since she is my daughter just like you are." Carla said and Caitlin smiled.

"I will pass along the message, though hopefully by the time you and Frost meet, she'll have a real name, since Frost is more of a superhero name and now that she's her own person, I want her to keep her hero status a secret so that she can take advantage of living her own life." Caitlin said.

"I can understand that." Carla said.

"How was your visit?" Carla's receptionist asked Caitlin as she headed towards the exit.

"It was good. I'm glad I finally got to clear the air with my mom." Caitlin said.

"That's nice. You know, she talks about you all the time. She's very proud of you." the woman said.

"You spend a lot of time talking to my mother about me?" Caitlin asked.

"Well, I just so happened to notice a very cute girl's picture in your mom's office and I was curious." the woman said.

"Really." Caitlin said with a slight smile, since now that she could explore her sexuality without Frost's annoying commentary, she could let herself enjoy it when a woman flirted with her, which this woman clearly was.

"Yeah. My only problem is that you're my boss's daughter." the woman said.

"Well, if you change your mind." Caitlin said with a smile as she quickly wrote her number down on a piece of paper and handed it to her.

"Thanks." the woman said.

"One question though. I'd like to know the name of the woman I just gave my number too." Caitlin said.

"I knew I was forgetting something. My name is Eve. Eve Tessmacher." Eve said.

"Dr. Caitlin Snow. Now I need to go. It was nice meeting you Eve." Caitlin said and Eve nodded as she watched Caitlin leave.

"Okay, definitely need to swipe right on her." Eve said with a smile as she looked at the number on the piece of paper Caitlin had given her, not noticing the smile on Caitlin's face as she walked towards her car.
