While the rest of Team Flash were in African embedding the tracker in Grodd, Caitlin remained behind to watch over Allegra, since as the team doctor, her responsibility was to make sure that all members of the actual team were okay, which meant staying back in Central City, especially since Allegra was now being transferred.

"Allegra, I'm so sorry. We should've made getting you out of prison a lot sooner." Caitlin said as she looked down at the young girl that both she and Frost were protective of. The only reason Frost wasn't here now was because her medical knowledge was much more limited than hers.

Right now, she was standing in the hospital room that Allegra had been given after Barry had been able to bring her to Central City General Hospital for proper treatment and the only reason she had been allowed in already is because she was Allegra's doctor and therefore could provide notes on her treatment.

"Caitlin." Joe said as he and Iris joined her in the room.

"How did you guys get in here?" Caitlin asked.

"Allegra is technically an escaped prisoner, so as a cop, I could get inside. Though from what Singh was saying, this situation with Wolfe has allowed us to get her a deal." Joe said.

"What kind of deal?" Caitlin asked.

"Full pardon, plus what I'm calling bribe money to keep her quiet." Iris said and Joe rolled his eyes.

"Cecille will have to talk about that with Allegra, since she was falsely imprisoned in the first place." Caitlin said.

"Wow, you seem pretty angry about this." Iris noted.

"And you're not." Caitlin asked.

"Of course we are, but Caitlin, the anger coming off you right now, it's exactly the kind of anger that I'd be feeling if it were Iris in this position." Joe said.

"Wait, what?" Caitlin asked.

"Come on Caitlin, we all know that Allegra has a certain bond with both you and Frost. You see her like a little sister or a daughter." Iris said.

"I wouldn't go that far." Caitlin said, not willing to admit it.

"Come on Cait, take it from someone who knows what it's like to be a mom and wants to be a mom. The way you're looking at Allegra is the same way I looked at Nora after Cicada broke her back." Iris said.

"Really?" Caitlin asked, since she'd never thought about it that way, but she had to admit, the idea of being a parent was appealing to her. She just never thought that it would happen considering how many relationships she went through and then Frost and now her sexuality. Things had been moving so quickly she hadn't really had time to think about Allegra, but she now realized that Iris was right. She'd need to talk to Frost about it when she got back from Africa.

"There is another problem though. Since Allegra is only 17 in this universe, she needs a legal guardian or she'll get sent to a group home, which I don't think is desirable for any of us." Joe said as they looked at Allegra's unconscious form, machines hooked up to her, including a breathing mask.

"I'll do it. I'll need to talk to Frost about it, but I'm sure she'll agree to let Allegra stay with us." Caitlin said.

"I'm sure that the courts will agree that Allegra living with a doctor while she recovers is a good idea." Iris said.

"I'll call Cecille, ask her to set up a meeting with a judge." Joe said as he left the room, right as Caitlin's phone rang, but she didn't recognize the number.

"I'm gonna take this in the hallway." Caitlin said to Iris, who nodded.

"I'll let you know if she wakes up." Iris said and Caitlin nodded at her gratefully as she stepped outside.

"Hello." Caitlin said.

"Caitlin, it's Eve Tessmacher. We met at your mom's office." Eve's voice said and Caitlin couldn't stop the smile that came to her face.

"And here I was thinking you'd forgotten about me, since it's been nearly a week and no word." Caitlin said.

"Yeah, that was because it took me a week to work up the courage to ask your mom if it would be okay, since while I know you don't need her permission, she's still my boss." Eve said and Caitlin was liking where this conversation was going.

"So, does that mean this call is what I think it is?" Caitlin asked.

"That depends on if you think it's me asking you to go out to dinner with me tomorrow night." Eve said and Caitlin smiled.

"Yeah, sounds great." Caitlin said with a smile as she and Eve set details before heading back into the room.

"Okay, you look a lot happier, what's going on?" Iris asked.

"That call was from a girl I have a crush on asking me out." Cailtin said and Iris nearly squealed.

"Okay, when?" Iris asked.

"Tomorrow night and since you're a lot more familiar with that than I am, I was hoping." Caitlin said.

"Yes, I'll stop by your apartment tomorrow to help you get ready." Iris assured her and Caitlin smiled in relief before they turned their attention back to Allegra.
