After the intense work and ODM training earlier, it was finally dinner. Tomoko had trained the living hell out of her squad. They were good, but not scout good. She was going to whip them into shape and she'd make them work until they were up to her expectations.

Her squad sluggishly walked into the dining hall. She followed behind, seemingly fine. She glanced over to see Hange ushering her to sit at her table. Commander Erwin and some other man were sitting there as well.
"Hello Hange, Erwin, and you are?" Tomoko glanced at the man holding a cup of tea, in a rather peculiar way. He didn't respond.
"Hello?"
He still didn't respond. She scoffed.
"Manners much." Tomoko muttered. Just as she was about to sit by Hange he spoke up.
"You could learn some manners yourself, and apologize to someone when you bump into them instead of running off like some incompetent klutz." Her eyes widened, realizing it was him who she had run into while trying to find her way to the training grounds. He looked up to make eye contact with the stunned girl.
"If I wasn't about to be late I'd have stopped to apologize, but since I didn't I should now, I apologize for running into you." She complied calmly. "Now if you would, your name?"

"Levi."

Dinner was interesting. Tomoko and Levi had gotten off on the wrong foot, and Hange and Erwin were arguing about potential experiments Hange wanted to conduct. As Tomoko was getting up to leave Erwin stopped her.
"Wait Tomoko, before you leave I'd like to mention something. For the next couple of weeks your squad will be training with Levi's. Considering your squad's still quite new to everything it'll be good for them to train with his squad." He glanced between the dark haired man and the blonde woman.
"Yes sir." She saluted and walked off.

Later in the night Tomoko was walking through the dimly lit halls, wandering to get a better idea of where things were. She heard footsteps behind her but thought nothing of it. As they caught up to her she felt a tap on her shoulder. It was Finn.
"Captain Tomoko? I was wondering if there was anything I could do to improve on my ODM skills?" He scratched the back of his neck nervously.
"Make sure to be confident in what you're doing, without that confidence comes hesitation, and hesitation leads to death." She smiled, "otherwise you're quite skilled in the use of your ODM gear, and we'll be training with the Levi squad so you could ask them for pointers if you're still not sure, they're the pros here."
"Thank you Captain!" He said and ran off to his room. He's a strange one, but very kind. I can tell he'll be a great scout, especially with his enthusiasm.

The next morning, Tomoko was awoken to a firm knock at her door.
"Who is it?" Tomoko sat up, glancing at the door.
"Levi." The man answered back. "You haven't already forgotten about the arrangements Erwin gave us yesterday, have you?" He asked flatly.
"Of course not, but that doesn't start until 7:00 am." Tomoko replied.
"Which it's now 7:10" Levi rolled his eyes as he heard the girl scramble to get ready. She opened her door to see him standing right in front of her. She was neatly dressed, a perfectly ironed red shirt and a corset on top of it to keep her chest in place while training, her hair in a somewhat messy but long ponytail.
"Shall we go captain?" Tomoko glanced into his metallic eyes, indicating she was ready. He quit leaning on the door frame to lead the way to the training grounds.

Once they got there, Tomoko saw her squad waiting for her.
"I apologize everyone, I had gotten the times mixed up and got caught up on my way here." Tomoko announced her arrival, everyone taking a glance towards where her voice came from. Levi had walked over to his squad while Tomoko spoke with hers. She went over what the plans were today and they soon got to work.
"Can you get your gear on or will you get 'caught up' in something." Levi glanced at Tomoko as they got ready.
"I'm fine, thanks." She smiled at him slightly, keeping her professional behavior.
"Tch, just make sure your pathetic excuse of a squad doesn't get in our way. We need the practice for expeditions." He scowled.
Tomoko ignores his snide remark and kept a smile on her face. She had always been good at teaching, and some stubborn cadets won't change that.

After some rough training, Tomoko was called into commander Erwin's office. Once she arrived she knocked lightly.
"Come in" he called.
As she entered she noticed a large sheet of paper with a plan for an expedition.
"As you know we have an expedition coming up," Erwin started as Tomoko took a seat, "and I know you've only just joined the scouts, but your skills excel those who've been here for years, the military police must have trained you well. I'd like you to join the special operations squad for our next expedition." Erwin looked determined as he stared into Tomoko's eyes. He was really passionate about this.

"I agree to these terms sir."

After the short meeting, Tomoko sat in the mess hall for dinner. She was earlier than usual, however she didn't finish her meal. What Erwin said reminded her of her previous job, as a Military Police. She doesn't miss it at all. It was uneventful and didn't test her limits like she enjoyed.
"Something on your mind Yamada? Hurry and eat your damn food, we have to discuss the expeditions plan with my squad." Levi remarked at the woman staring of into space. She quickly snapped back to reality.

"Ah, I apologize."
