Brrring Brrring

The obnoxiously loud alarm clock completely woke up Chaeryeong's soul. She was dreaming about being in a mysterious but colorful place. Tall pink trees, pale blue ground, and peach orange sky. She was sitting on a bench with a girl who resembles Ryujin. They were holding hands while inhaling the humid air. It was romantic and she was completely mesmerized by the girl's beauty, but it was all destroyed when she was startled by the sudden outbreak of noise.

Chaeryeong, frustrated while lying down on her bed, grunted and clenched her fists. She wanted to punch her alarm clock that is sitting down on a small table by her bed. However, she remembered that she has a digital alarm clock and it is expensive and given to her by Yeji, her bestfriend. Chaeryeong calmy opened her hands and gently pressed the stop button on the alarm clock to stop the noise that is ruining her morning.

Chaeryeong doesn't remember a single thing from last night. She didn't remember that she almost fought with Yeji because she was drowning in alcohol and jealousy when she saw Yeji holding Ryujin's wrist. Chaeryeong slowly stood up from her bed. She struggled due to her aching head. "My head hurts so much." She groaned while trying to stand on her own.

After successfully standing up, Chaeryeong yawned and stretched her limbs. She walked to the mirror that has almost the same height as her, a little taller than her. She looked at her reflection and she dissolved in silence.

"I look like shit," Chaeryeong said. Her hair was messy. It looked like someone walked up to her and tased her in her sleep. She looked like a complete mess, but Chaeryeong didn't let that become a massive boulder in her way. Chaeryeong looked at her table of stuff besides her mirror and grabbed a black comb and started combing her hair.

"I should dye my hair," Chaeryeong said to herself while continuously fixing her hair. After that, her thoughts were struck by a few memories from last night. She remembers starting a party and getting drunk with their seniors, but she vaguely remembered the things she did and what happened in the party.

However, her thoughts were interrupted by a sudden knock on her door.

"Come in," Chaeryeong said. She immediately fixed her hair with her hand and returned her black comb to the big table by her mirror.

The door slowly opened and it revealed Yeji. Yeji had a joyful look on her face. She was in a good mood and she looked like a mother taking care of her baby. "Morning," she greeted her bestfriend.

Chaeryeong weakly waved her hand. "Morning. Did you sleep here?" Chaeryeong asked.

"Yep." Yeji nodded. "Last night, after taking Ryujin home," The first sentences made Chaeryeong feel a little jealous, but she decided to shrug it off and continued listening to Yeji. "I returned and told everyone to go home. You vomited and there was so much mess so I called your personal cleaner. Your parents called me and they said that they won't be home for 2 days."

"I see," Chaeryeong said with a nod. "Thanks a lot, Yeji. I'm really happy to have you." She smiled.

"I cooked breakfast. There were so much stuff in your fridge and I didn't know what to cook so I just fried some eggs. Is that good?" Yeji asked.

"Yeah. Thanks," Chaeryeong replied.

Yeji looked around in Chaeryeong's big room. A small library and a few gym equipments on the left and a mirror and materials for make-up on the right. There wasn't a single mess in Chaeryeong's room and it made Yeji more proud of the cleaner that Chaeryeong's parents hired. Yeji inhaled and sharply exhaled and said, "Let's eat." She walked out of Chaeryeong's room and left the door open.

"I'll be there." Chaeryeong stopped for a moment and started scanning her room with her eyes. While she was looking around, her phone in her pocket vibrated. Chaeryeong inserted her hand in her pocket and grabbed her phone. She turned on her phone and started scrolling.
