Heart Wound

Good thing that when Ryujin woke up, she felt like she didn't drink 7 bottles last night. Her head wasn't dizzy, her vision wasn't blurry, and all of her limbs are cooperating with her. She didn't feel like she was walking on the moon.

Ryujin was already wearing her attire for school, jacket and joggers. Sitting on a chair, eating breakfast, and watching TV, she kept on reminiscing about last night. When she walked up to Yeji and gave her a kiss on the cheek without hesitation. Ryujin's heart is confused, struggling to comprehend if she has feelings for her bestfriend or not. But it is obvious to her that she is starting to lose interest in Chaeryeong.

Ryujin couldn't believe her heart. At first, she was so in love with Chaeryeong that everything that Chaeryeong does is so attractive to her. But now, Chaeryeong is still attractive to Ryujin, but the feelings are starting to fade away. Ryujin thought that this is her first time being in a relationship so it's probably normal. She decided to put these confusing thoughts under the rug for now.

Ryujin's breakfast was an american breakfast. A stack of pancakes with a square-shaped butter on top melting as its fragrance escaped itself and ran through the nostrils of Ryujin, 4 pieces of bacon on the side, and eggs on the other side, scrambled like Ryujin's thoughts. Ryujin grabbed her chopstick and started eating. The pancake was so soft that the 2 pieces of wood that Ryujin was holding cut through the pancake easily, the bacon was salty and sweet at the same time, and the egg was perfect.

While Ryujin's parents are sitting in front of her, silent but eyes are a little deadly. A cup of coffee in their hands but a bucket of questions in their minds. They were like prison guards looking at a prisoner on death row who is eating her last meal before touching eternity's light.

Ryujin's father let out a cough to catch Ryujin's attention and it worked. Mouth was full, Ryujin stopped eating for a moment. She gently put her chopsticks on the table and swallowed the food that is inside her mouth. "What is it?" she asked her parents who were silent. As Ryujin waited for a reply, she grabbed a glass of water from her right and started drinking to cure her dehydration.

"About Hwang Yeji," Ryujin's mother suddenly said that made Ryujin almost spit out the water she was drinking.

Ryujin got flustered and she immediately put the glass of water on the table, scared that she might accidentally drop it causing it to break into fragments. Ryujin panicked a little bit, thinking that her parents saw her at midnight stepping outside of their house and giving Yeji a kiss on the cheek. If her parents saw that, they will definitely not give her any allowance for 7 years. Ryujin exhaled and sat down properly, back resting on the chair she was sitting on and she crossed her arms. "My bestfriend? What about her?" Ryujin asked.

The woman picked up something on the floor making Ryujin a little confused. Ryujin's mother picked up a red box that is as big as a pizza box and a rose on top of it. Ryujin's eyes widened as she scanned the two objects with her eyes. "This, Ryujin." The woman put the two things on the table. "At 4:00am, someone knocked and when I opened the door, I saw this red box and rose on the ground. I opened the red box and it is chocolate. Expensive chocolate."

Ryujin gulped for a moment. She couldn't think of a reply to her parents, because she doesn't know where the chocolate and rose came from. "I-I'm sorry, Mom and Dad, but what does that have to do with Yeji?"

The woman put the box closer to Ryujin and pointed at a word on the box that seems to be written with a ballpen. "Look. R.Y? Doesn't that stand for Ryujin and Yeji?" the woman said. "Ryujin, your bestfriend obviously sent this. It is neither a late birthday present nor a random gift, Ryujin. It is a sign of courtship. You do know that we don't like that girl. She's obviously a player and you are her game."
