Alexis Stansson has always been a hardworker But considering who her parents are it isn't hard to get around the block. Alexis has always been strong willed because of that. To prove that she too has to work to get pretty things, that she too has been through the blood, the sweat, the tears. She has been through it all. Alexis doesn't need to prove herself. But she has that need to do so. To earn that respect not be handed it. To know what it feels like when you. And you only achieve something purely from the actions of yourself. She loved that feeling. Alexis Stansson craved it.

Adam Banks on the other hand had a different drive. One much alike but different in it's own ways. He wanted to be the best of the best. He never strived for silver he did it for gold. Not to prove himself to a pointless crowd of people who is only half the person he is. But to prove to himself that he is worthy. To showcase his self worth and the beauty of skating. To be more specific, hockey. To him that was his life, a goal he was yet to achieve. He adored watching the small rippples in the pond freeze and the snow cast over them. He liked watching his relfection in the ice as he skated in circles. He loved skimming his fingers along the shaved specs of ice as he kneeled down to touch it. Every thing about it he worshipped and adored as if it was his every meaning of living.

The two had totally different meaning to what Hockey meant to them. But in the end they came here for the exact same reasons. And that is to play to win.

Alexis and Julie sat together on the flight, the two best friends had been both scouted by none other then Don Tibbles. At first it was all startling given that Alexis wasn't a full American but nevertheless she was picked. Just like the other five people that sat behind her. The girls quietly chatting amongst themselves as they stared out the window trying to spot as many snowflakes as possible. The snow opposite them kissed the fogged glass that seperated the two. Their warm hands pressed up against the window as the cold shot their skin almost like a small kiss on the palm. The flight was slow, time consuming. But to the six kids it couldn't have been any shorter. They spent their time chatting, laughing and most of all annoying the flight attendants that walked past their aisle multiple times to tell the kids to quite down. They almost never did. Alexis grew closer to the small group as they swarmed into a small circle with linked arms. Their forehead touching as they confessed their own anxious thoughts about meeting the group of so called peewee champions the 'Ducks'.

Once Mr Tibbles arrived in his brown leather jacket that hugged his torso tightly and his black jeans that loosely tied itself around his waist they all set off into different cars that all headed to the same motel. Julie, Luis and Alexis sat in the Taxi. The trio talked and talked til their throats grew sore and their lungs couldn't bare the laughs any longer.

"Do you think they'll hate us?" Luis asks. He shifts in his spot in attempt to slug of the suitcases that poured onto him. "It depends if they are jerks or not. But you two are the most likeable people I've met." Alexis quips as she nudges the worried boy playfully. Luis chuckles as he slings his right arm around the two girls ruffling their hair playfully. In return he earned two smacks to the chest and a mess of his hair.

"See you later!" Alexis waves the boy goodbye as Julie and Her settle into their rooms. She fiddles with the key in her hand throwing it to Julie as they count down the numbers along the hall. "Hopefully there are cute boys," Julie smirks as she pushes the door open. Alexis slips through the small gap as she drags her bag behind her dumping them onto the bed. Julie joins her best friend as she jumps onto the dust filled mattress.

Adam sat on his bed next to Charlie, Guy and Averman. The small group had been playing a small game of pocker after Jan had taught them later today. He bit the inside of his cheek as he looked at the small pile of two and one dollar notes that piled the middle of his bed. The blankets slightly ruffled from a raging Averman and a taunting Charlie after countless rounds. "Do you think that the new kids will hate us?" Guy asks incredulously. Charlie quirked an eyebrow at the blonde boy. "So what if they do, not our problem. But we all are joined to do one thing-"

"Play Hockey." the three said in unison.

Charlie nodded eagerly as he placed his card down taking all the blue chips from the pile. "Who were you calling a loser again Averman?" Chalie mocks as he throws the money in the air. The four boys couldn't help but laugh. Adam chuckles as he watches his friends in their best moments. in these times he wished he could stay in these memories forever.

A/N:

I've been going back on chapter and only now I'm embarrassed of my writing. Just trust me when I say it slowly improves... at least I think it did. But anyways, have a good day :)
