I don't know how to explain it, this feeling. I have exprienced every aspect of the word love yet I've never felt something like this before. It is something I struggle with processing at night, it's the one thing that keeps me up. I hate it because I'm so young and it's so overwhelming. I hate it because it just keeps getting stronger the more I weaken. Regardless of how many times I tell myself to hate her, I can not love her anymore then I already do. I'd fall on my knees for her within a second. I'd move heaven and earth for her if I could. I was never one to believe in love, especially young love. Because it didn't make sense to me how love can walk in at anytime, to me at that time I thought it was impossible.
"You alright Banks?" Alexis slightly taps me on the shoulder. Her pearly white teeth grit between her lips. "Yeah I'm okay." Her lips pursed. Suppressing her smile into her mouth as she lightly pressed a kiss on my lips. Her hands find their way onto my shoulders as she slightly pulls herself up from her feet.
"That made me feel a little better." Her smile never seems to weaken, even in the darkest of moments she finds laughter. Perhaps that's what I admire most about her.
"I told him no visitors but he wanted to congratulate you anyway." Bombay walks into the room with none other then Wayne Gretzky, one of the best hockey players that had ever stepped onto the ice.
"Can I shake your hand?" The team spurred all at once. It was more of a reflex as we all let out a eager hand towards Wayne.
"This is the great one." Charlie spoke in awe. His light green eyes stared up in the man in admiration. "Wayne's fine." Gretzky joked as he let out a swift hand.
That was one of the best days I have ever experienced. Something that was nearly impossible to forget. Especially when the memory is basically tainted into your mind.
We were all at our happiest moments. Living through the future then looking back at the past. Were we stopped for a moment, and loved this life as kids, not as teens or adults.

"So, how's you and Alexis going?" Charlie gently nudges my right shoulder as the team and I waddle ourselves onto the rink. The fabric over my shoulders barely keeping me warm as I huddle it into my chest. "Great, shes— she's something else. I can't explain it." I shake my head as I try to stir up the words of the girl that stood a few feet away from me.
Her laughs filled the stadium with cheer as she skated beside Connie and Kenny as they displayed their excellent figure skating skills. Her feet taking control, as her body calmly agrees with her swift motions. It made my frown pull into a subtle smile as I watched her.
"Whipped." Averman mutters into my ear as he passes me. His shoulder hitting mine as he skates backwards. Gently moving his body to the chatter in the background. "Fuck you Averman." I shout before he could run away.
"Nah I'm not into that stuff. But I'm sure Alexis is." His brows arched as he fold his arms around his chest. Turning to skate beside Luis and Dwayne. I roll my eyes playfully, trying to keep up with the herd.
"Coach, shouldn't we have our hockey gear on?" Luis queries. Taking his hands out with a shrug. "Guys this is our last team practice which means—"
—"the return of captain blood." The redhead quips with a chirpy grin. "No... it means, let's have some fun." Coach whips around with a beach ball in his hands. Throwing it into the air, before passing it into centre.
We all chased after the ball, whooping and laughing as people slid and tripped over one another. Alexis beside me, her eyes trained on the ball. Her feet slowly loosing balance as she tries to retrieve her stance again.
"I got ya." My hand is instant to grab onto her waist as I gently slug her into my arm. Softly pulling her along as we skate. "Thanks." She says softly, almost as a whisper.
Averman throws it to the other side of the rink. My feet freeze at the mere sight of the Iceland team, as they swarm in.
Their cold and stern faces, resemble to the one stuck onto Alexis' as she shared a lethal glare between her farther. And Standson who stood tall beside him.
Wolf picks up the ball, immediately squashing it between his hands flinging it to the side. With carelessness.
"Playtime is over. We have the ice now. You and your little rink rats must leave." Alexis tenses at each word that dares to leave his mouth.
You could tell by the way his eyes never landed on her that he tried his best avoid the girl. Pulling her into my arm, slinging it over her in attempt to shield her reddened face from the team ahead.
"We're right here, coach." Dean reminds him. His expression clear with the scowl deeply woven in his cheeks.
"The only thing little was your career in the pros." Bombay shoots back with a smirk. My eyes lit up with his slight reaction. His feet falling back towards his team.
"Gordon, no. Let's go." Ms Mackay, warns. Her petite hands go up to his shoulder trying her best to tug him away from Wolf, who's till stood proudly.
Well, at least I had a shot. I was there."
"You were a disgrace." His voice now serious. The tension sparse between the two men as they spoke. "All right team we're outta here. Let's go, I said! Come on!" He ushers us. Yet our actions do not reciprocate. Alexis still has her chin leaning against my chest, her light breaths tickling me through my jacket.
"You alright?" Her face nuzzles further into me. Trying to shield the scolding she's getting from Sanderson. "What does that bottle blonde got out for you?" My words don't stutter, as each of them slide off with ease. Her expression breaks for a moment, pausing for a minute before answering. "Nothing, he's just really close to my dad. And if he doesn't like me then Sanderson won't that's for sure."
"Don't worry, the asshole would have to got through all of us then me before getting to you." I wink playfully. My grip tightening around the skin of her waist. "Thanks Banks."
"Anytime... Stansson."
—"can you still move on the ice?"
—"well, please, play a little with me."
