Adam sat on the driveway, his bottle in hand as he took long gulps out of it. Water runs down his lips as he quickly wipes it away with his inner palm. He watches as the cars drive past him. Their engines reviling and their music blasted.
He stood up again playing yet another match against himself.
But little did he know that this day was going to change his life forever.
Alexis Stansson had always had an option, she had never been forced to do something and that is how she liked it. Adam on the other hand was given one thing and that one thing had to be accomplished and done. He liked it that way. His life was all about the ice. Her life was all made up on the ice. Even though the two sound scarily familiar they can't be anymore different.
He's seen her on tv, watching her play in competitions as he just watched slumped on his couch. He watched as she got handed silver and gold medals, he watched her win and loose. She had everything he could possibly think of. She had everything he wanted. Although Adam had never met the girl he already feels an undying hatred flaring beneath the soles of his feet.
Every time the girl would come up in the newspaper on on tv he'd immediately go away. Avoiding the fangirls and praise she continues to receive from his teammates. She doesn't understand her luck because she's never had to work for it.
Alexis doesn't know who Adam Banks is yet. But she does have a past with trying to fix broken things even when they don't want to be fixed. She had a tendency to be stubborn but she never gives up until it's fixed. So maybe that's what Adam needs. A girl like her.
She could be a living heaven or a burning hell. And he can only be one or the other, it's only up to her to decide.
