Imagine your comfort character coming home with grocery bags full of ingredients and spices proudly declaring that "We're going to cook something together!"
You may be skeptical or excited. Whatever the case, your comfort character and you end up at the kitchen counter together, trying to put together a meal. You chop, mix, fry, boil and maybe you take a little dance break in the middle. By the end, you and your comfort character are a laughing mess, covered more in more raw ingredients than feasible.
Whether the meal turns out to be actually edible or not entirely depends on your comfort character and yours cooking skills. But there's nothing wrong with laughing at the mess you've made and enjoying take-out with your comfort character either.
