Ariana's POV

I stood by the swing, kicking the sand.

'do I really love calum'

it's been repeating in my head constantly for the past hour and I can't stand it.

It's decided. I can't hold it back much longer. I'm going to break up with him, no matter how much my heart says no.

neither can I let Luke close to me. no relationships. not now.

I approached Calum in the tree house, sitting down, and I clasped his hands.

they were warm and its actually the best feeling ever.

I stayed silent for a little, not knowing what to say.

"Calum, im sorry I think I can't continue with this relationship" I blurted out so quickly I couldn't even hear myself.

tears started to drop from my eyes like a tap turned on with no one to turn it off.

He said nothing but gave me a hug. "Whatever it is, as long as you're happy. I'll be waiting," he smiled and let go of my hands before exiting the tree house.

I heard a punch and saw luke on the ground with calum standing there clenching his fists.

"Oh god, no no, this isn't what I wanted, no fighting, it's back to square one, no, no," I say as I completely black out.

"Ari?" I hear michaels voice calling me as i arise from my sleep. again, I blacked out, due to stress

I gave him a light hug, before staying silent for a little.

"Guess things change," he fiddled with his fingers. "yeah I suppose so," I smiled lightly.

"You know what? you guys are my best friends and that won't change anything, literally nothing" I giggled as the rest of the guys strolled in

"Glad you're smiling," Ashton tickled my toes.

I couldn't be happier staying as friends. that's the best choice for me.

'Thank you calum, I love you dearly,' I write on a piece of paper and dropped it in his bag. I couldn't say it, its not something very easy.
