Bad Decisions (Part 1)

Chapter 2: First Week

I wake up to my alarm that I have been snoozing for the past 3 times. I groan and turn to the other side. My phone vibrates once. Then twice. The third time I got up to check who was spamming my phone. @itsalex

Good morning. Rise and shine

It's the first day of college

Do not be late, have a great day :)

I smile and respond to him before forcing myself out of bed.

You too :)

I learned that Alex was also going to college, which was nice since it gave us another thing to talk about. I had thought about meeting up with him one of these days, but I wasn't sure we even lived in the same area. I learned to not get my hopes up while I got to know him. I didn't want to get my heart broken again.

Without breakfast, I raced to my first class. It was going to start in 15 minutes but I wanted to get a good seat.

My first class was a personal growth class. This class had nothing to do with my major which was art. But, it was a requirement for the commitment program but it had sounded interesting from the beginning,

I sat in the middle row. Not too close but not too far. I take out my notebook when the professor walks in and begins the class.

After that class, I had 2 classes back to back and finally, I finished and got to eat lunch. I walk towards the student services building to sit outside on the balcony. That's where I saw Hunter cruising by with only his laptop and notebook in his hand. He saw me and smiled and approached me with a huge grin across his face.

"Hey, Lia." I smile and reply

"Hey!"

"How is your first day so far?"

"Pretty good. It's been a fun day" I chuckle lightly and tug my hair behind my ear. "Do you have class now?" I ask. Hunter shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders.

"I only have one but it's in an hour. I was just going to hang out in the engagement room with some friends." He points to the building and then asks "Do you want to come with me?" I hesitate at first, unsure. I didn't know anyone else but I thought it would be a great opportunity to make new friends. I nodded and followed him into the building.

When I walked in, I immediately saw Lexi along with 3 other mentors sitting at the front.

"Welcome. Please sign in and enjoy!" Lexi greeted me and I waved as I leaned forward to sign in. Everyone in the room was either socializing or on their laptop. Hunter leads me to the table with his friends.

"Everyone, this is Lia. " Hunter points at me and then points to a girl at the table "Lia, this is Lisa, Niki, Julia, Clay, and Alex." I tried to keep my attention on the whole group but my attention was stuck on Alex.
