Mar literally dragged me out of bed despite my complains to sleep all day. After having a quick breakfast we headed to the arena in our gear. We were fifteen minutes early but all the others were already there. The two of us sat on the floor near the wall and Mar started to give me a brief introduction about the trainees present in the arena.
"That guy have allergies to garlic and only show up for dinner. Pretty vampire like right?" Marlene said pointing at the guy who just came in.
"Are you serious?" I rolled my eyes. "Who is that creep?" I asked indicating one who has been staring at me since I sat down here.
"That one? he's kinda into blondes but believe me he's bold as brass. Not a bad choice though."
"Now I know where to come for latest gossips." Marlene shrugged just before a group three girl hulks came and sat next to us. "One more thing," whispered Mar, "Don't ever associate with those three."
"But why?"
"Just don't. Trust me on this."
"Why is my rank 158 when there's hardly 20 people here?" I changed the topic.
"There are more classes dummy," the other girl laughed. "Think of it like a school."
"What is a school?"
Marlene sighed muttering 'never mind'.
Just after we finished warming up Alec, Jett and three other boys burst through the door catching everyone's attention. "Waters and Jones," our coach turned with an angry face. "You and your gang are late for training yet again."
"My apologies Mrs..." Alec started but the poor boy doesn't seem to remember our coach's name. Our coach rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"I have no idea how you maintain your ranks," she said. Alec winked at our coach in a flirtatious which made my jaw drop. "Is he for real?" I turned to Mar in disbelief.
"Natural flirts are a threat to humanity." Mar stated in an unamused way.

After physical training we were taught different types of kicks. Being new here, it was a bit difficult for me to catch up with the others. "Waters can you teach the new girl some basics while I check on the others?" our coach asked from Alec. Great. Just what I wanted.
"What do you know about kicking?" Alec asked me when we came to a corner of the arena, away from the other trainees. I shrugged as an answer. "Have you ever kicked anything in life?"
"Yeah. Like most recently I kicked a toaster and remember that mad guard who tried to kidnap me that night?" I said proudly.
"You didn't kick him. You just stepped on him. And kicking toasters doesn't count."
"Fine then. Teach me how to, idiot."
"I'm having seconds thoughts because of your annoying behavior."
"How can it be me when you're annoying yourself?"
"Good point." Then he taught me a few basics in kicking and punching. Somehow at the end of training I was satisfied with myself.
"I'm disappointed."
"Excuse me? I think I did pretty good."
"You can't even make a frog prince fall with those kicks princess."
"I won't be wasting my time kicking boys."
"Yeah. Not getting in trouble with us is good for your health."
