Chapter - 2

I stomped back inside my room to find my phone which was buzzing into my ears. After finding it literally everywhere in the room, I finally found it wrapped in the duvet. How frustrating!!

I checked the call logs. It was a call from an unknown number. I was struggling to call back or not because I hate talking on phone especially when I don't know whom I am about to talk with.

Before I could reach on any pointless conclusion, my phone started vibrating again. I have to set a ringtone for my phone, this buzzy sound is messing with me.

It was Xavier's call. Xavier Kennel, my best friend. Without thinking twice I picked up the call.

"Hey Jo, what's poppin’?" he asked trying to act cool.

"Nothing much, just glowin' up, you?" I replied with assertiveness but I couldn't control my laugh at that point.

"Yeah, yeah I know my girl's glowin'. And I know you just thought that I was trying to act cool. Just tell me about it, cuz I am," he said and I could picture his face right now, one eyebrow arched with a slight smirk. And not to forget the squinted grey eyes.

"Hey! What are you laughing about?" he asked.

"Nothing, nothing. Why you called right now? Is everything okay? Don't tell me you got kicked out again and now you need a place to crash in!"

"Nah! It's not that. Well actually it can be one of the reasons. But it's not why I called. Squad is coming tomorrow, so lunch at 2 tomorrow, what's say?"

"Aaah! I haven't done any packing yet. But yeah I am in." I said rubbing my forehead as realization of me being indolent hit me.

“I’ll pick you up, please be ready on time for once."

"Why the hell you have to taunt me every time, you little creature. Byee!" I said and cut the call after he said the same mimicking my irritated tone.

Well, now I have to do the packing and be ready on time for tomorrow. Great! Sometimes I wonder who can be that much lazy, and then I look myself in the mirror.

Okay I am not lazy; I am just a little clumsy, yeah just a little.

Wait, did he just call me his girl?

You have to stop watching romantic series, they are taking over you.

Fine!! Subconscious, you have popped out at the right time. But he was the one who called me that right?

Yeah stupid, don't overthink, he was!!
