Fifteen

I woke up in the morning. I wanted breakfast but I knew I couldnt have anything. Amanda came in the morning with medications. "Charlie I dont want to take any medications without anything in my stomach,"

He nodded and looked at Amanda.

"She needs to take her meds," she said.

"Write declined for metical reasons on the MAR," he sighed.

"Medical reasons thats plain old refusing,"she said. "I was forced to take my meds,"

"Bring it up with Michael. She has an endoscopy today and the medications need to be eaten with food,"Charlie said more authoritive.

Se rolled her eyes at it. Charlie moved over to her pulling her out. "Michael could easily change his mind about you working here and he can put you on a list of people for experiments," he sighs.

"Sorry," she whispered and footsteps went away.

"You didnt have to yell at her,"

"I did. Shes getting cocky and thinks she has he privlage of teating people how they treated her Michael would easily take her privlages away and turn her back into a test subject. So I had to let her know, this isnt the first time she has been this way," he sighed.

I nodded and observed him. "Youre on edge," I said.

He looked surprised.

"Ive been around vampires most of my life. I know what it looks like. Are you thirsty?"

"No, but I am stressed, about your procedure and if anything goes wrong," he sighs.

I nodded.

"Who is doing it? Not Amanda please,"

"No Im personally paying Ashley double time and a half for her to do it. I only trust her,"

I nodded.

"Someone else was going to do it?"

"Yes Amanda. But I dont like the way she is treating you so I told Michael that I would pay for Ashley to come back for the duration of the procedure," he said.

I nodded and looked down. I was stressed about it too actually. What if they find something?

"Try to relax," he said touching my shoulder.

"I thought you weren't supposed to touch me?"

"True but I talked to Michael about that as well and he agreed since youre in this situation he will allow me to be here and comfort you,"

"He allowed it?" I asked.

He nodded.

I smiled and hugged him tightly.

He smiled at it. "Did you want to finish Aladdin? We still Have about half the movie left?"

I nodded.

He smiled and grabbed the laptop and set it down putting it in. I moved close to Charlie and he wrapped his arms around me. I felt comfortable and safe here. I knew he wouldn't hurt me, well at least on his own. Michael may have him hurt me or run tests but at least its him and no someone who doesn't care about human life.

I rested there watching the movie smiling. "Want me to change the movie?" He asked.

I nodded. "You can choose," I said.

He nodded and moved out of the room for a moment just talking to the man outside. Him bringing a movie.

"What is it?" I asked.
