Legolas walks beside you as you all travel through fangorn forest looking for Merry and Pippin, Gimli and Aragorn are walking ahead of you scanning the area. You feel Legolas's hand grab yours and you look up to him, he is smiling down at you and you feel a blush come across your cheeks. You have come to realize that you care deeply for the elf since first seeing him, he is kind, loyal, selfless and strong. Gimli stops near a tree root and touches something, a dark stain. He touches it with his finger and brings it to his mouth, quickly spitting it back out.
"orc blood!"
Aragorn looks at the tracks on the ground, "these are strange tracks".
We walk further in, following the tracks.
"the air is so close in here" says Gimli.
"This forest is old, very old. Full of memory and....anger" says Legolas.
Low groans, sound through the forest, Gimli raises his axe in defense.
"the trees are talking to each other. Gimli lower your axe" I whisper yell to him.
He slowly lowers it.
"Aragorn, Something na- ed- ennas (something is out there)" says Legolas.
"Man cenich? (What do you see?)"
"the white wizard approaches" he whispers.
"do not let him speak, he will put a spell on us"
Aragorn wraps his hand around the hilt of his sword, Gimli tightens his hold on his axe, Legolas and I notch arrows in our bows.
"we must be quick" says Aragorn.
With a yell, we swing round to attack. Gimli's axe and Legolas and my arrows are deflected. Aragorn drops his sword as it becomes red hot in his grasp. We shield our eyes with our hands from the bright light emanating from the White Wizard.
"You are tracking the footsteps of two young hobbits."
"where are they?" shouts Aragorn.
"They passed this way the day before yesterday. They met someone they did not expect. Does that comfort you?"
"Who are you? Show yourself!"
The bright light dims, revealing Gandalf, all dressed in white. Legolas, Gimli and I bow.
"it can not be, you fell" stated Aragorn.
"Through fire and water. From the lowest dungeon to the highest peak, I fought with the Balrog of Morgoth. Until at last, I threw down my enemy and smote his ruin upon the mountainside. Darkness took me. And I strayed out of thought and time. Stars wheeled overhead and everyday was as long as a life-age of the earth. But it was not the end. I felt life in me again. I've been sent back until my task is done."
"Gandalf!" says Aragorn.
"Gandalf? Yes... That's what they used to call me. Gandalf the Grey. That was my name." He smiles.
"Gandalf!" Gimli smiles.
"I am Gandalf the white" he says.
Gandalf turns to look at me, he holds out his hand towards me and I grasp it. He steps towards me and holds my hand in both of his.
"I know who you are Bella Luna of Lothlorien, I have been tasked to help you remember. Are you ready?"
Galadriel's advice flows through my mind, I take a deep breath and nod. Gandalf places his hand on my forehead and we both close our eyes, I felt the tingle of magic as a wall in my mind crumbled to dust. Flashes and memories flowed around my mind and the emotions that came with them. Gandalf removed his hand from my head and I realized I was crying, Gandalf pulled me to him and hugged me. He whispered in my ear.
