Soon we set off for Helms deep, warriors were spread out along the line of towns folk. After travelling for 2 days we were getting ever closer to the fortress, as I rode my horse forward a bit I heard Gimli talking to Eowyn about dwarf women.
"It's true you don't see many Dwarf women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, haha that they're often mistaken for Dwarf men."
I smile as I see Aragorn gesture and whisper "its the beards".
I chuckle as Gimli carried on talking.
"And this, in turn, has given rise to the belief that there are no Dwarf women. And that dwarves just spring out of holes in the ground!"
Eowyn laughs at his story just as the horse gallops forward and Gimli falls off, Eowyn quickly goes to him.
"It's alright, it's alright. Nobody panic. That was deliberate. It was deliberate." says Gimli.
Eowyn helps Gimli up. She laughs as she brushes him off and looks back at Aragorn with the sun behind her and the wind in her hair. I could see the love she had for him in her eyes but I knew his heart belongs to Arwen and he misses her dearly.
I leave them to it and ride further up to Legolas, he smiles as I reach him. Our attention is shifted when riders gallop passed us, we watch them as the pass and I feel something is wrong. Screams came from up ahead and Legolas and I go to them, a warg has attacked Hama and killed him. Legolas runs over and kills the warg with an arrow. He then draws his knife and kills the Orc.
"A scout!" he shouts to Aragorn.
"What is it? What do you see?" shouts Theoden.
Aragorn runs to him, "Wargs! We are under attack!"
The villagers begin to panic and cry.
"get them out of here!" shouts Aragorn.
Eowyn leads the villagers away from the battle and down a safer path to helms deep.
"all riders to the head of the column!" yells Theoden to his warriors.
Soon we are all lined up and heading to the hill where Legolas is shooting arrows at the Wargs charging over the other hill. Legolas takes aim at the distant target and fells a warg rider. He draws another arrow and kills another. Just as he reaches for a third arrow, he sees us approaching. He quickly runs and mounts my Horse with a smooth leap and joins in the fray with me behind him on horseback.
We charge and clash with the warg horde, I am thrown from the horse but land on my feet. Legolas shouts my name but I cant answer as a 2 Wargs charge me. I pull my bow out and shot 2 arrows at once, hitting both Warg and Rider, I don't have time to fire as the other is to close. Drawing my daggers I run at the warg and just as its in reach I slid under it, stabbing its underside and splitting its gut open. The rider gets of his dead warg and rushes me but I throw my dagger and hit his head, killing him instantly. I retrieved my dagger and jump back into the fighting. I see Aragorn stuck on the side of a Warg, headed for a cliff.
I whistle to a nearby horse and race after Aragorn, when I'm close I jump on the Warg and stab the rider and push him off. I lean down to cut Aragorn free but I'm not fast enough as we both go over the edge, I position myself under him and as we hit the cliff side I take the brunt of the force before we fall into the river.
Legolas pov
The last of the Wargs runs off and victory is sounded among the men. I look around but cant seem to find Aragorn or Luna.
"Aragorn!" I call, "Luna!".
Gimli calls as well but we receive no answer. We run over to the cliff but see nothing, a splutter sounds and I see a Warg rider with one of Luna's daggers sticking out of its chest.
