Today is the day, we face Sauron and save middle earth, well Frodo and Sam save middle earth we are just the distraction.

I sigh. I feel tired after my nightmare even with the few hours of sleep I got with Legolas, we didn't talk more about my nightmares but what was there to say anyway? I was still shaken by it and it must have showed on my face because Merry came over to me while everyone else was busy.

"Hey you okay Luna?" he asked.

I sit down and try to give him a reassuring smile but I fail.

"Nightmares?"

I nod and shed a tear, he hugs me like he would when I first started having nightmares. He soon pulls away and gives me a wide smile, he is by far my favorite hobbit. I give a small smile back and kiss the top of his head.

"Thank you Merry" I say.

"Anything for my friends" he smiles.

A guard tells us its time to go and we make our way to the Gondor and Rohan army, Dior is waiting for me and lifts his leg for me to mount. I pull up Merry and Pippin behind me and we wait for orders, Eomer, Aragorn and Faramir set off towards the black gates of Mordor with Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Merry, Pippin and I behind them and the army behind us. It would take almost 7 days to reach the black gates, I hope Frodo and Sam would be able to hold on.

.....

The closer we got to Mordor and the gates the more terrifying my Nightmares became, Legolas was always there to sooth and comfort me, telling me it would be okay but in the pit of my stomach I could feel dread. I barely slept in those 7 days and I tried to hide my tiredness from the others, Merry and Legolas saw through me though but didn't tell the others about my nightmares after I begged them not too.

We reached the black gates and I could see some of the men were visibly shaken to be near it, I leaned down to Dior and whispered in his ear.

"Protect Merry and Pippin if I can not" he whinny's and nods his head up and down.

I pat his neck and give him a kiss on it.

Aragorn rides his horse forward.

"Let the lord of the Black Land come forth, let justice be done upon him" he calls out.

From behind the huge gates, the terrifying chanting and the clanging of the armor of thousands is heard. With the sound of tortured metal, the massive Gates begin to open.

Aragorn rides back to us and tells us all to fall back a bit, we move backwards enough to put distance between us and them. Thousands of orcs and trolls emerge from the gate and fan out, the eye of Sauron is beaming at us.

Our army is wavering slightly so Aragorn addresses them.

"Hold your ground – hold your ground! Sons of Gondor – of Rohan... my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. The day may come when the courage of Men fails; when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship; but it is not this day – an hour of wolves and shattered shields, when the Age of Man comes crashing down – but it is not this day!!! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth – I bid you stand!... Men of the West!"

The Eye of Sauron speaks over the land.

"Luna!"

His voice sends fear running through my veins and I begin to shake, Legolas holds my hand and squeezes it, reassuring me I'll be okay. Aragorn looks to us and holds up his sword.

"For Frodo" he says and charges forward towards the enemy.

I jump off Dior and run forward with him, I need to do this, for Frodo. Our army charges forward and the battle begins.
