CHOOSE {JJ/Rafe}

14. 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐤𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

Kayla was now fast asleep in Rafe's arms and as soon as he noticed the girl was not going to wake up anytime soon he slowly moved away and went towards her bedside drawers finding her phone. His fingerprint was unlocked the phone and he smiled at that. the only light in the darkness of the room was coming from the screen. He searched up for Thea's number and took his phone out aswell. copying down the number he kept her phone back on the table and from his own began typing a message for thea.

You better leave before I wake up tomorrow morning or I will do what Kayla didn't. Don't make me kill her family Thea.

Rafe lied back down with a smile on his face, JJ lost. She was with him not JJ and that was enough for him to feel like he was the luckiest guy there. His smile faded realizing how much Kayla must be feeling right now and he turned towards the sleeping girl. He told himself that tomorrow he was going to do everything he could to make sure she felt happy and not scared. He had given up trying to find out how and what exactly had happened. Thea was gone and hopefully JJ wouldn't come back, his sister and the rest of the pogues were the least of his concern.

Kayla suddenly felt a rush of coldness on her skin, "Raaafe" She groaned seeing the boy standing in front of her and he pulled off the covers as an attempt to wake her up. "Up! Up! Up" He yelled, "stop sounding like such a mom" She said covering her head with a pillow. "Kayla get up, please" He said pulling the pillow away. She sat up and stared at him and he stared back at her, she rolled her eyes and got off the bed walking towards the bathroom to get ready. 

Even after freshening up she was still annoyed that the boy woke her up. "I feel like I'm in some sort of army retreat" she said and he put his hands over her shoulders from behind and walked out of the room locking the door. After having breakfast at the hotel the two got onto the car and Rafe took kayla out. "where are we going?" She asked him and he replied. "yesterday when you held that gun towards thea, you knew that it didn't have it's bullets in right?" he laughed. She kissed her teeth in slight embarrassment. He parked in a very lonely road which was covered by forests beside it. getting down with a bag on his back Kayla followed him into the woods. "Is this where you kill me?" Kayla laughed when they went deeper in. "I couldn't kill you if i tried." He said and Kayla took it as a compliment until he added more, "because you would probably be this annoyingly clingy ghost following me everywhere" 

"bitch" Kayla replied, "what are we doing" she said stopping as the boy lined up some cans on a broken tree trunk. "I am going to teach you how to actually use a gun" He said walking back up to her and taking a gun out of his bag throwing it towards Kayla who caught it and thanked God it's safety was on. "Okay give it a shot, aim and shoot" he said as she positioned herself with her gun in front of her and the lines up cans. Safety off she pulled the trigger and it shot the tree trunk not the can. She looked at Rafe for his criticism. "okay wait let me help" He said walking up to her. 

standing right behind he slightly bent to snake his arms around her waist  as she was holding the gun up, she felt her rush as his hands touched her skin. "first, position yourself" he said softly bending down slightly and talking into her ear as his hot breath was felt on her skin, she couldn't help but feel shivers as he wrapped his arms around hers to help her grip. Rafe smirked knowing the effect he placed on her but still continued. gripping her hand around the gun he helped her get her aim, "now pull the trigger" he said and as instructed she did.

bam! Bam! 

"JJ really?" Kayla walked to the back of the chateau as she saw her boyfriend shooting a teddy bear, again. She stood beside him, "I don't get why you're even ruining that poor bear. It's not like we're going to need a gun. ever" Kayla said and JJ rolled his eyes. "Of course we need a gun kayla" he said putting the gun down and waking up to the girl. "how else am I going to protect you" He said walking towards her and wrapping his hands around her waist and she put her hands around his neck. "I can protect myself" she said, he kissed his teeth and shook his head. "nahhhh, you can't. I can literally hear you going. 'JJ save me! my prince charming'" he said attempting a voice of a damsel in distress. "my prince charming?" She asked her eyes still on the boy and a smile on her face because she couldn't help but laugh at his horrible impression. 

"yeah, i mean you're my princess I'm your prince right" he said. "you're probably like the soldier in the castle i hooked up with because the prince was taking too long to climb into my tower" she joked, he didn't seem to be offended by it like kayla thought he was going to. "so I'm your knight in shining armor?" he smirked. Kayla laughed completely forgetting about how that too was a thing. "sure" she smiled. 

Pope walked to the back and saw the two who were awfully close to eachother and felt like he was disturbing them and just walked away as if he didn't see a thing. "Okay okay, but who's sexier the knight or the prince?" Kayla turned around at the sound of pope who tripped down as he ran away, "pope! you okay?" she said walking towards where he was. "yeah yeah I'm good, you guys go back to whatever y'all were doing" he said and kayla laughed at how awkward Pope was acting. "Guys y'all coming to the wreck?" Kiara yelled from the other end. "yeah we'll be there in a sec" Kayla yelled back. 

"you didn't answer my question" JJ said from behind. "right, so the prince is like...really and I mean...really hot. He's a bit of a weirdo but also a cutie right. The prince in bed though, woooo! he is-" Kayla was cut off by a cringing JJ, "no! not the prince c'mon kayla. i need to know about the knight" he said. "I was getting to it, patience JJ. The knight, he is so much cuter than the prince, hotter? debatable. But the knight always made sure his princess was safe. Always had a sword in his hand and chopped teddy bear heads. I couldn't really tell if it was a turn off or turn on" Kayla said and JJ's smiled widely. "he's amazing in bed too though right, better than the prince" He added. "yeah yeah he's good" Kayla laughed. 

"He's good? just good? c'mon Kayla I've given you better than good!" JJ got worked up. "calm down J, It's only a story" She laughed. "Okay so the knight was amazing, he was so extremely good. much better than the prince. which is why how much the royals and the world wanted her to be with the prince and everything  The princess didn't feel what she felt with the knight anywhere else. so she runs away with him." Kayla said hoping that was a satisfying answer for JJ. "can you like give details on how good he made you feel, like how he touch-" "no way in hell" Kayla said walking away now remembering that they had to leave. "That's fine, I'm just happy that the prince ain't getting some any time soon. what a loser" he said following her as she shook her head.

"can we go back?" Kayla told rafe because everything around her reminded her of her knight and Rafe noticed.
