6. Shocked

Jin with a cup of coffee in his hand was getting ready for work. The office-clinic the chairman gave him was beyond his expectations. It was huge with a receiving area where his assistant would accept his patients, who happened to be Jimin.

"I'm glad you decided to hire me. Thank you for saving me from my asshole boss. By the way, I will go home early today. Min Yoongi released a new album and I should have it."

Jin chuckled. He knew how much his cousin liked Yoongi.

"Oh, what a coincidence. Yoongi is your sex mate's best friend!"

Jin's chuckle turned into a glare. "What the fuck are you talking about? I'm moving on from that, okay? And can't you see? I am being fortunate lately. Let's only talk about positive things and not that embarrassing moment that happened. What's important, I won't meet that actor ever again."

Jimin gave Jin an insulting laugh, "So you really will stand on your claim that the man you had sex with that night was Taehyung?"

Jin would snarl at Jimin but was silenced by a sudden call. Jin looked at his phone and an unknown number calling him. "Hello?"

"Good morning, Dr. Kim. This is Mia from Chairman Kim's office. He would like to inform you that his great grandson will be visiting your clinic today, at 11 in the morning, for his monthly check up. I will email to you his records so you'll have a background."

Jin went completely speechless. He was strictly for appointment and his clinic usually starts at 1 noon. But since he was feeling grateful for the opportunity the chairman gave him, he felt as if he didn't have the guts to say no.

"Oh! Okay. My clinic starts at 1 so the child and his guardian will have privacy. This is noted." Jin smiled through the phone and Mia thanked him before ending the call.

"We need to go to the clinic earlier than planned. I guess I have to skip the ER today. The chairman's great grandson will have his check up today." Jin stood up hurriedly as he washed his coffee cup.

Jimin started fixing his bag with his eyes rolling at Jin, imitating Jin's speech the last time, "'I will never tolerate their attitude just because they gave me another chance.' your ass."

Jin ignored Jimin as he hurried towards his bedroom, "It's just a check up. What I meant was, I will still weigh the condition of the patient and not their status."

"Whatever. I'll go now. I think I need to tidy the clinic so you'll get a very impressive first meeting with your VVVIP. Bye Seokjinnie!"

Jin sighed as soon as Jimin left. He knew his cousin well. He already told him to forget what happened before but he kept on opening it up. He knew Jimin would not stop until he confessed what happened to Namjoon which he didn't have the guts as of yet. No matter how many times he tried, he kept on backing up. He knew keeping it longer would only make the situation painful but he just couldn't.

Jin was sitting down behind his desk in his clinic feeling a bit nervous. Adjusting his eyeglass, he started to read the last page of his patient's health record. He learned that the chairman's great grandson grew up in America as his records were all from that country.

Hearing a knock on the door, Jimin poked his head between the gap looking a bit flustered, "Your patient is here. I already asked his guardian, wait, wait. His super hot handsome guardian, or dad, I honestly don't mind, to fill up the form for our record. Here."
