Jin had been staring at his phone, picking it up, checking on the inbox, before dropping it back on the table. Jimin who was busy watching the television, legs on the armrest of the couch, while eating chips, kept on glancing at Jin, amused.
"You miss him, don't you?" Jimin smiled naughtily without looking at Jin.
"Namjoon? Of course, I always miss my Joonie."
Jimin sat down properly, chewed the remaining chips in his mouth, before speaking. "I know you know who I am talking about. After he heard you that day, he stopped texting you. And since that day, you started acting weird. You kept on checking your phone. You're expecting him to message you."
Jin snorted, crossing arms as he raised an eyebrow at Jimin, "I am happy that he stopped bothering me."
Jimin nodded as if mocking Jin, "I've known you since forever, Jin. And your body language is speaking otherwise. Admit it, in terms of effort, Taehyung is way much better than Namjoon."
"Namjoon is my boyfriend, Jimin."
"Is he treating you the same, Jinnie?"
Jin's eyes immediately went to Jimin. Jimin's words hit him hard. There were feelings inside him that he wasn't sure of. Things he was trying to ignore. All he knows was he loves Namjoon and that Namjoon was trying his best to reciprocate that love. Maybe he wasn't Namjoon's priority, but he sure understood the reason why.
"You know Namjoon is working hard. His job requires a lot of time and attention. I get it. He's not always there for me. He always has excuses. But as his boyfriend, I should understand since he's doing that not on purpose. But because of his job."
Jimin dropped the bag of chips on the table and stared back at Jin, "That's my point. He's not making an effort because he knows you will always understand. Taehyung is a busy man but he's always giving a little bit of his time just to see you. Is 5 minutes of his time that hard to give? Unless he's got something else that you don't know."
Jimin shrieked when Jin threw a pillow on Jimin's face, causing Jimin to widen his eyes at his best friend. "Not because he's not always here means he's into something else! If there's any, that would be his job!"
Jimin made face. For him, Jin was so caught up with his love for Namjoon that he already lost his reasonings. "I want to slap you back to your senses. Namjoon isn't the only man in the world, you know. There are lots of better men out there. Someone you deserve."
"How many dates with Yoongi did Taehyung promise you so you'll say something like that?"
"Yoongi and I aren't seeing each other. Stop it making about me. Oh my gosh, Jinnie. Stop it. I know you can feel something about your 'boyfriend' and you're just denying it. Oh! Here's my favorite person!" Jimin's attention suddenly went on the TV when the show he was watching showed an interview with Taehyung.
After introducing the guests, Taehyung was holding hands with a woman who played as his other half on their upcoming movie. He was aware as Taehyung wanted him to be his date on the premiere. But because of the situation now, he wasn't sure if Taehyung still want him to be his date as he hadn't heard of Taehyung for a week now.
Jin's eyes were focused on Taehyung's hand entangled with the woman. He didn't know if Taehyung had moved on and the woman was his girlfriend now. So many questions running in his head. He felt guilty that Taehyung heard what he said. Though he was happy that it happened but at the same time, he felt incomplete.
"So there's this rumor that you and Hyesun are dating, is it true?" The interviewer asked. Hyesun was about to answer with a shy smile on her face when Taehyung chuckled causing her to halt.
