The night squedual faded in, equipment was left to be put away and the watching guards started their walk about the campus.
Ranboo sat on the bed, open book in his hand and a pen in the other. He had noted small things down about the day, mostly just about friends, like how tubbo had called the weird beans and sausages mixture his comfort food, and how Tommy enjoyed sparing due to his past. He even wrote about how Purpled was very good with a sword and could maybe teach him better then Tommy and his noodle sticks.
Safe assured, Ranboo wouldn't forget about any of them.
Not anymore, as long as they had the book.
At the back of the bound book, ranboo wrote something that could seem to be the one thing he always remembers.
His dreams. The dreams of the other world, the tall figures and even the voice that had called out to him previously.
There must be a reason he could only remember those dreams, there must be a reason he knew so much.
He recognised the voice from somewhere, and felt safe as it spoke to him, yet he just couldn't remember where and why it was yelling at him to awake. He remembered the dreams as an adult would remember their 18th birthday, skipping out the small details and only remembering the things that mattered; like their favourite present or if their funny uncle came over to sing a song.
Or in Ranboos case, it would be the noise of a strange beast roaring out in pain and the gentle hum that a mother would sing to get someone to bed.
He hadn't heard from the voice for what seems like over 200 days, then again the days had blurred over time and he couldn't exactly remember them all off by heart.
Yet since he had awoken from his three day coma, this voice seemed to never fade, and he was thankful to hear it again. It was no surprise that, when the Hyrbids eyelids had opened once more, he was no longer in the mortal realm; instead he stood on the cake colour stone.
He was no longer near the edge of the floating island, instead he was resting against a large and dark purple stone wall. Small built in cracks caused brighter purple to stand out, casting faint light on the obsidian as Ranboo stood up.Ranboo had underestimated the covering mist as he had looked up to see the top of the tower, and all that was found was the dark stone being blended into an even darker sky.
The Hyrbid looked higher above the other creatures eye lines as he looked around the sky, noting in the distance besides more of those tower shaped things yet all stood at different heights (yet each still blending into the sky, some more then others).
Other things to note was how a light purple and a matching stone to the floor had seemed to grow around the towers he was near, using the purple stone as support before branching off onto the next one nearby.
As Ranboo mindless toddles closer to inspect the strange plant like stone, he began to notice how the purple acted as pillars and the off stone was a sort of wall. Almost like the how a weed would scale the wall of a house, this vine like building branched off into multiple boxed rooms instead of leaves.Other blacked out figures stood in the inside or created purple fog and vanished, only to be seen on the outside of the makeshift doorway they used.
Ranboo studied the strange houses that had been lifted of the ground, large huddles of them rested in-between three of the obsidian pillars yet none of the stone dared to go infront of them.
There was nine pillars in total, each arranged in a circle around those teleporting creatures, yet only two of the pillars contained the odd houses.Ranboo looked to his left, mind calling the dark purple for find any reason or purpose they may have, yet none where seen or maybe they where too well hidden.
A small, unusual, sound of 'hello' spoke out behind him. The voice distorted or backwards yet still understandable to him in a strange way.
"Oh, hello?" Ranboo replied, turning around and making sure to avoid the face of the speaker as to not startle them like he's done before.
The lanky shaped creature repeated the word and turned around from ranboo, facing the largest pillar that was parallel to them.
Words that sounded like 'follow' and 'please' case through their mouth, only for them to soon after walk at a slow pace towards the tower in the distance. The dark purple only seemed to widen and grow as the two neared, as if it wasn't already large enough from the long distance beforehand. Strange scream like noises seemed to radiate from the tower, yet the voices where as if a deep voice had been forced to scream and then forced into a higher pitch.
The creature nodded towards the base of the pillar, where a lonesome brown box sat standing out compared to the cream floors and the dark skies. Strangely enough, Ranboo understood the wordless command and had neared the box to open.
The lid of the smoked oak chest easily slid out from its iron rim, which sent a cold ascension through Ranboos finger tips. Inside the square looked like an old man's pocket when he'd be young, full of marbles that no one had any ideas where they got from. The only difference between those marbles and the circular shape inside the box was that each tended to stay the same colour.
A half blended mix of sea teal and a matching purple to the cracks of obsidian. He went to reach for one of the palm sized balls, only to retract the hand immediately on impact.
The circle was smooth, and gave a strange warmth a body would do. Yet the strange warmth was nothing compared to the squelch it gave when the finger touched it.
If the creature could laugh, it would probably be calling at the reaction Ranboo gave; then again, the pumpkin shaped smile on its face was enough proof it understood and was trying hard to not laugh.Ranboo peered back into the chest.
Then looked back at the blacked out creature, whom just nodded again at him.He out struck his hand, preparing himself physically and mentally for the slime like feeling.
And he grabbed one.
"Ranboo!"
