Hybrid Of The End

~Act Two : Chapter Eight~

No one said a word, no one spoke.

The occasional blink was shown, but nothing else changed.

"What?"

Silence returned, but even so Niki nodded.
"I know it's difficult to understand, the writer only just got this idea - but I'm a hybrid, I have been for many, many years"

She looked away at the photos, seeming to get lost in something that once was.

"Something broke in my world, hybrids appeared - only for me they where called 'powerfolk', there was many debates on what to do... Many bad, bad laws." She hushed slightly.

"But, it was going okay, it was going well... New hero's came out and crime went down, it was peaceful - until you came"
She turned to Ranboo, looking him in the eyes.

"I couldn't get to you in time, Phill knew about you coming; but I couldn't get there in time..." She paused again, a dark flash over her face as tears swelled her eyes.

"I just wish that I could have been there... For both of you"

"Both? And what does Ranboo have to do with this?" Tommy scoffed, half believing her stories yet still hesitant. He turned his face away from her, spotting Michael a bit away eating someone's food they left behind.

"R-right," she shook her head, "A portal appeared - or well, portals. Loads of them, cracks in the ground and they sky... It killed thousands upon thousands of people"
"And, my Boo died that day, and you took his place; I couldn't get there in time to save you and him, and I just wish I was there for him"

"Wait so," Tommy began, looking at Ranboo, "You aren't ment to be here, but somehow you opened portals into this world and now your here?"

Niki nodded at them both.

"Wait so, that woman I saw, Kristen, she's a friend of Phill and Phill told you I was here - but now I need to find Phill to get to Kristen and go home?"

Niki slowly nodded, "I think so, I'm not to sure; Phill and I spoke very brief recently - but something happened and I've lost contact, only person I have now is blade"

"Whose blade?"

"another member of the syndicate, My best friend and one of phill's sons, wait..." She turned drastically and walked off into the staff rooms again.

"Well uh," Ranboo looked at the photos again, at himself. "I don't remember anything about... That, the whole portal thing,"

Tommy shrugged, "they found you in a puddle of water during a storm, that's how they found out about the water shit" He sighed and moved the photos around the table a bit. "Might explain it."

"How... How did you get here then? If that's her Tommy," Ranboo pointed at the smaller blonde in the photo, then looked at Tommy sadly. "And where is her ticks?"

"I have something to tell you... About that da-"

"I can contact Blade!" Niki rushed in, slamming down a harsh book on the table, making sure to not hit any of the photos. "I could try write to him, and hopefully he'll reply, let me know everything you know and we'll write it to him - we- we could get you guys home and maybe... Maybe our world will go back to normal"

"I-i mean it's worth a shot" Ranboo shrugged... "Will he help us?"

Niki nodded.
