Out of everyone that Ranboo knew inside the facility, and out of everyone that would actually talk to him, Tommy seemed to know the most. Either about all the gossip inside the halls or even about life beyond facility 200, he somehow knew it all; the reason why was alway guessed but never fully answered or either never answered at all by the boy.
Some guesses was that it was maybe due to him being brought in later then the majority of everyone else here, or because his brain is very much like a sponge and will obsorb any form of knowledge he hears: even if it's not always fully true, or use full..(and most times he had only gotten half of the information needed to fully understand what he said to other people).
Yet still, it was no big surprise to anyone when Tommy started bragging about being married to something called the 'grind' and other things about the benefits of marriage and somehow the conversation moved from video apps to something that I, and many others, dread..."I also know that alot of people get married because of taxes!"
"Taxes?" Tubbo puzzled, "what's a taxes?"
"Taxes are these shitty things that you have to do when your older, you have to give large amounts of your money away to these people, when you get a house and are forced to do grown up shit" Tommy shook his head. "They steal loads your stuff and like, if you can't pay, you have a' go into dept!"
"So people get married to avoid tax?"
Tommy shook his head slightly, "nah, well, yeah... kinda but no" he shrugged. "Someone would marry a rich person so that they have to pay for the tax instead and sometimes the tax is cheeper? I'm not sure, but I do know that having to pay total is cheeper then doing it solo, plus money is always a benefit; unless when someone has more then me"
"Ranboo?"
"Yes Tubbo?"
"Would you marry me, so we may avoid tax?"
And so, that's was one of the sole reasons that the facility had been buzzing about recently and giving their 'aws' as well as 'congratulations' to the two hybrids, and the whole reason they had now become engaged to eachother.
Even Mr Hyde had gaven them a congratulations and a pat on the back each."Why's everyone being so nice all the sudden?" Tubbo questioned, sitting on the pile of play-mats in the corner as he always would do when they completed the given work.
Tommy shrugged, "there's nothing to Aw about with marriage, it's just for tax!" Ranboo nodded to Tommy's words.
"What even is marriage?"
"It's basically where you're forced to share everything with eachother constantly," Tommy nodded, proud with his answer.
"Gross" The two other hybrids nodded in agreement.
"How can you share everything with the grind?" Ranboo asked, tilting his head whilst Tommy laughed out.
"No no, she shares with me!" He stood proudly, showing off the only slightly visible muscles he had.
"Ah, that makes no sense but I'm agreeing anyway"
"How can you two be getting married and still not know anything about it?" Purpled walked over to the group, sitting himself down.
"Well hello to you too," Tommy grumbled and sat down next to Tubbo.
"Hi Purpled"
"Hello Ranboo"
"Whatcha mean, we know that marriage is to avoid tax"
"It can be for it, but still; you haven't even got the rings for it" Purpled shugged. "Here,"
The supposed hybrid pulled a small box out of his pocket, handing it towards Tubbo and Ranboo; who marvelled at the red box near to the size of Ranboos palm.
