I kept jogging until I made it to the football stadium. I wanted to look behind me at Jace, but I remembered what he said, and I kept running. My ankle was slowing me down, but I knew I could make it.

After a while, I finally made it to the field, and I struggled to climb the steps. By the time I was actually on the field, my ankle was burning, and I was out of breath. I limped across the field getting closer and closer to the fence that separated school campus from the road. The fence was only about three feet high; it would be an easy climb.

I dragged myself over to the fence and swung my injured leg over the fence before lifting myself up. I was in the process of lowering myself to the ground when I saw the killer racing towards me. I panicked and dropped down to the ground injuring my ankle even more.

When my feet touched the ground, I took off. Adrenaline ran through me as I crossed the street trying to put more distance between me and the killer. I could see a couple of guys hitting on the driving range at the golf course across the street from the school. I thought about calling out to them, but before I could open my mouth I tripped over the curb and fell.
