Present-day

Sybil ran through the forest screaming for help. The vampire chased after her following the scent of her blood. She hid behind a tree pressing at the open wound in her stomach trying to stop the bleeding.

"I can smell that blood of yours pathetic human. Trying to hide is a mistake." He said closing in on her location. He stood on the other side of the tree she was hiding behind and he grabbed her.

"Please, Please don't kill me. I'll do anything." She pleaded.

"I would love to spare you sweet bird, but you smell divine and I'm afraid one bite won't be enough. Now hold still, this will sting a little."He pinned her to the tree and turned her head to get access to her neck. His fangs came out and he was ready to take a bite, before he could, a chain was wrapped around his neck and he was pulled backward. He tried taking the chain off his neck, the moonash it was dipped in burned his skin.

"Took you long enough," Sybil said looking at the group of Supremes standing around the vampire.

"What fun it was watching you run and scream. It was a nice show." Emma said to her.

"Remind me not to be late to training again. That was humiliating." She said

"Yeah, being the bait is never fun," Emma said laughing. "Come one they'll take him, you need to get stitched up." She helped Sybil get up and supported her as they walked through the portal back to the compound. She sat Sybil down on the doctor's bed.

"This is the third time this week you've been here Sybil. What happened this time?" Doctor James asked her.

"I had to pretend to be a weak human and run through a forest with an open stab wound as a vampire chased me."

"At least it wasn't a hybrid this time. I can treat a stab wound." He joked. He pulled up her shirt to see her wound, it was deep like all of her other ones. He got to cleaning the wound, Sybil didn't even flinch when he started to stitch her up.

"You're being really slow with that stitching today doctor." She said. He quickly finished and placed some gauze over her stitches. She held it while he placed the tape over to secure it into place.

"I worry about you Sybil," He said. "You're the one Supreme I see the most. Many of these men and women have been at this a lot longer than you have and they don't have as many scars as you do. I know I'm talking to a brick wall, but I think you should slow down. At the pace, you're going your body can't keep up for long."

"Thanks for the stitches doc, and I'll keep your suggestion in mind." She said walking out.

She walked into the briefing room where the others were. She stood in the shadows as they talked about what happened. It was another successful mission from her group. They were one of the best groups.

"Good job everyone, now rest up for now, but be ready for another mission."

"Sybil!" Max called out to her. She stopped and waited for him to catch up to her. " You did good today, how's the wound?"

"It'll heal. Is that all ?" She asked.

"Uh no, I was wondering if you would like to join us for dinner?" He looked behind him at his group of friends. Most of them weren't bad, but three of them she didn't like. Miranda, Tyler, and Julia were part of his friend group and she couldn't stand them.

"Sure why not." She said she knew nobody expected her to say yes. Kate's words played in her head, 'You should make some friends or at least people you can count on.' She followed them to the dining room. They all sat down and grabbed food from the many plates displayed in front of them.
