Sybil woke up with her arms chained above her. Her wounds were stitched up, but her body still felt weak. Julia must have used some kind of spell on her. She heard a groan behind her and some rattling.
"It's no use. She spelled us. Your strength isn't going to work," She said.
"Who was she?" He asked her.
"A traitor to the order. She is also someone who hates me. I wasn't very nice to her, on account that she was a total piece of sh*t. Oh and you know that girl I killed when I was younger? Yeah, that's her younger sister." she replied to him.
"Great, so we both have someone that wants to kill us for something in our past," he said.
"Yeah, but they won't. We'll let them get their hits in, make their cuts. Beat us until we're dead, then we'll turn the tables and have them begging for their lives." Sybil said with a smile.
"Is that so? How do you suppose you'll do that?" Rick said, walking into the room and turning on the light. "Neither one of you has any of your strength, and without your little magical weapons you're kind of useless aren't you." he ran a silver knife to Sybil's cheek. She didn't even flinch.
"Don't touch her!" August yelled.
"Oh, are you going to be her knight in shining armor? I honestly think she has more balls than you do. Honestly, she is a little more intimidating than you are, but we'll break her down then kill her. Then after, we'll kill you." he said.
"Good luck with that," Sybil said. " I'm not scared of you or your little b*tch. Honestly, how does your little Fallen pack have respect for you? I mean first off you were outsmarted out of your Alpha status by a sixteen-year-old, which goes to show how dumb you are, and then you spent ten years, being bitter about it. From what I heard, you weren't that great of an Alpha." He struck her in the stomach. She just laughed. He hit her again.
"You know I think I'll just mess up this pretty little face of yours." He held the knife to her face. She just made direct eye contact with him the whole time.
"She's mine, remember," Julia said walking in. "Besides, this is her game, I've watched her for years. Pain only fuels her. She lives off of it. But I know how to break down those barriers she put up." Julia laced her hand on Sybil's neck and did her spell. She was getting inside of her head. Sybil's eyes closed and she was dragged into her mind. All of her painful memories came flooding in all at once.
She felt all of the pain, the sadness, everything she had pushed away, crept back in, and took over. She screamed in agony.
"What are you doing to her!" August yelled.
"Oh, I'm simply making her feel every single little once of pain and suffering she had been pushing away for the past twelve years. And my god is it a lot, makes you wonder what type of person she is if she can just shut it all off like this. I mean did you really think she could actually be a good mate? She breaks everything she touches and hurts whoever she feels like hurting. She never has to face the consequences either. Like when she killed my sister. Her mentor was killed because he was blamed for her going crazy, but did she get any punishment? NO! No, she didn't, she just walked away as if nothing happened and they let her. Then when she got away and killed all of those people just for revenge, did she get into trouble, no she didn't. Every single time she openly expressed her hatred for the Order or attacked another of her groupmates she never got punished. That's why she thinks she can do whatever she wants. I'm here to put a stop to her, and show everyone that the big bad that was Sybil Drake was nothing." Julia said. Sybil screamed in pain again. Julia left the room, but the spell didn't seem to break.
Rick's men grabbed August and dragged him out of the room. They wrapped silver chains around his arms and tied him to a metal pole. They each took turns beating him until he could;t take any more. Rick had them stand him up. He grabbed his silver knife and cut into August's skin over and over. August held back the screams as the knife hit his skin. The silver chains wrapped around his arms were also digging into his skin. He didn't give Rick the satisfaction of seeing him weak.
"You took everything from me. Now I'm gonna make sure you know how it feels to lose everything. I won't let you die just yet. First I cause your little mate a lot of pain, then when she is begging for her life, I will kill her, then we'll go to your pack, and kill all of those traitors. Maybe I'll start with the Beta. I've been meaning to pay little Margot a visit. Then we kill your precious little mommy and daddy, then you watch as I kill your daughter. You know, maybe I'll have the boys rip her limb from limb as she cries out to her daddy who can't help her. Then when you have nothing left, you'll be begging for me to kill you," he said.
"Are you done?" August said. "Honestly you and your little girlfriends love to hear yourselves talk don't you. All I hear are words. Useless words." He said. Rick kicked him in the stomach making him cough out blood.
"Take him back to the cells!" Rick commanded his men. They dragged him down and chained him back up, this time he was facing Sybil. He could see the pain in her face. Her screams had stopped, she was fighting against whatever it was she was seeing. Julia came in and released her from the spell. Sybil looked at her with deadly eyes. She looked over at August and noticed the state he was in. Her eyes shifted slightly to an expression he'd never seen before, but then they went back to Julia.
"When I get out of here, which I will, I will make you pay for this," she said.
"I look forward to seeing you try. I'm tired of tormenting you. I think I'll mess with his mind now. What do you think?" She moved towards August. She pulled his head back. "You know you're really good-looking. Too bad you're connected to her." She did her spell and got into his head.
"NO!" He yelled. Julia laughed sadistically.
"You know, I can tell you what he is seeing. It's you killing everyone he loves over and over and over again. Until he eventually kills you. Did you know that deep down in this gorgeous head of his, he sees you as someone who can hurt everything he loves? It was the perfect little thing to use against him. I mean how painful must it be for your own mate to kill everyone you love until you are forced to kill her yourself. You truly are bad for him. He deserves so much better than you."
"Yeah, yeah I bring destruction everywhere I go. You said that already. Gosh, you're so boring to listen to." Sybil said.
"I mean look what happened to your parents, you know if you think about it you and your mother could have just left your father and she and your little baby brother would probably have been alive. Then, you wouldn't have joined the Order and killed my sister or got Seb killed. But mommy dearest was stuck in that loveless marriage with an abusive man and a useless kid. You do realize that your father used to abuse her before you right? She obviously had a lot of hate for you. I mean to let him repeatedly beat you and lock you out in the rain. That is a mother that lost love for their child. It only came back when the baby came. She saw that baby as a new beginning, and I'm pretty sure it was one without you. She may have told you she would have taken you, but you and I both know she would have left you with your father."
"Oh shut up," Sybil said.
"I hit a nerve there, didn't I? You know what, let me just let you see for yourself. Exactly what would have happened if she did." again Sybil was thrust into her mind and this time it wasn't all of the pain she kept away that crept in. It was images of a life where her mother left her behind and every day was filled with the wrath of her father who never stopped beating her.
