Ninjutsu

~Time skip 6 months~

Chiyoko's Pov

Its been half a year since I started training with gai, yeah I dropped the sensei thing since he wouldn't stop calling me youthful flower. Anyway, I've had to change weights 5 times now a new one for each month and I am on the last one right now. I was sparring with gai as he was in his fifth gate and I was still using the weights. I dodged a kick to the head while grabbing his ankles and throwing him into the river that I was standing next too...well it was more like a shove but throwing makes me sound stronger!, I still can't walk on tree's or water yet since gai said that fell under the jurisdiction of my ninjutsu teacher(s) to teach me. After we called a truce on the fight and ate some food, there was a bird flying above us. Gai caught and took the scroll from the bird, after reading the message he said that we were to go and talk to gramps.

We had to run all the way to gramps's office as part of my training, we got some weird stares but I don't care and just ignored them use to the looks by now. We both ran into the office me beating him by a centimeter. "I won!!" I cheered while catching my breath.The other adults in the room laughed "Wow gai you've lost to a 3 year old? that's pretty bad" said one guy who was smoking. Gramps was behind his desk and was laughing "Gramps!!!" I called out running over to his side. I hugged his leg cause I'm still pretty short. "Gramps, why did you call me and gai here?" I asked looking up at him with my head tilted to the side. "I kept an eye on your training with gai and have deiced that it was time for you to start your ninjutsu training with Kakashi and Asuma for your elements" he said with a smile. I nodded and took off the weights throwing them back at gai "Looks like I don't have to wear those anymore" I cheered cause I really hated wearing those dumb things. 

I looked over to who I thought was kakashi and asuma and smiled "When can we start, gai didn't teach me anything about chakra, only how to pack it into a punch or kick" I said with a pout. "Tomorrow, training field 7 and don't be late" said the silver hared one before he left the building in a puff of smoke. "Well isn't he a ball of sunshine" I said while rolling my eyes and walking towards the door. "Bye gramps" I called out before I left the room and headed home for the night. 

The next morning I woke up early and went out to training ground 7 where I normally train. I waited for an hour before asuma I think it was showed up. "Kakashi's going to be a while so why don't we go ahead and start to work with your chakra control" said asuma while looking down at me with a smile, I looked up and nodded with a smile. He led me out to a bunch of trees. "Climb this tree but you can't us your hands" he said pointing to the tree to my right "How am I suppose to do that?" I asked while tilting my head to the side. "By using your chakra, focus it at the bottoms of your feet and try running up the tree like this" he said while he walked up a tree. Asuma-sensei threw a kunai down at me "Mark each spot on the tree if your about to fall off, it'll show how your progressing, once you make it too a good sized branch we'll move onto something else" he said while lighting up another cigarette. I had to asked asuma-sensei what chakra was which led to an hour long lecture in which I almost fell asleep. 

I pulled the kunai from the ground and chose a nearby tree to practice on. It was an older tree with its branches being high up and big. I tried to concentrate my chakra on the bottoms of my feet before taking a running start at the tree, I got up 3 feet before slashing the tree and back flipping down to the ground so that I didn't fall onto my head. I glared up at the tree and tried again. By noon I was almost at my target, I had chosen the highest branch on the tree much to asuma-sensei's amusement. There had to be 100 marks on this tree by now. I concentrated my chakra once more before I ran at the tree, this time I made it all of the way up. "Asuma-sensei!!! look at me! I made it to the top" I yelled happily as I jumped down from the branch and safely landed on the ground. 

"Okay now that you can climb a tree walk on the water" said asuma-sensei as he pointed towards the nearby river "Hai!" I called out as I ran over towards the water. I channeled my chakra into my feet just like I'd done with the trees and stepped onto the water. I was able to walk out to the middle before my ankles sunk in. I put more chakra into my feet and was able to step back on top of the waters surface. I smiled big "This is easy!!!" I called out cheering as I didn't fall into the water. "Hmm looks like walking on water is easier than trees for you" mumbled asuma-sensei from the waters bank. I ran back over to dry ground as I continued to cheer. "Hmph looks like she catches on quicker than we initially thought" spoke a voice from beside me. I stopped cheering and looked up to see it was kakashi who was to be my other ninjutsu sensei. 

"Your as late as ever kakashi" said asuma-sensei as he walked towards us. "She grasped tree climbing in a few hours and used that knowledge to grasp water walking in her first attempt I think we might have a prodigy on our hands" said asuma-sensei as he smiled down at me and patted my head. "Why don't you go and play at the park or something like that, training is done for the day" said asuma-sensei, I looked up and smiled nodding my head before I left for the park. I always went to the one by my house so that when it get dark I can just run home. I ran into the park and up to one of the unused swings, sitting down I started to swing as I hummed a song that I heard some older lady sing a while back before I met gai. I could see some other kids playing but I didn't even try and call out to them seeing as some of the parent's were giving me a mean look. I already know that they don't like me cause I don't have a mommy or daddy and that they think I'll make their kids act wrong but I won't all I want is someone to play and talk with!

The sun started to go down and all of the kids left the park leaving behind me as well some not noticing that I was here and others looking back with a curious look on their face to why my parents weren't here taking me home as well. I sighed and got off of the swing as I made my way home for the night. I walked into my apartment closing the door behind me, I took my shoes off and placed them by the door before walking into the kitchen and grabbing some rice balls that I'd bought a while back for nights like this. After I ate and showered I climbed into my bed while grabbing the bunny I had gotten from gramps and clutching it to my chest. Sleep didn't come easy but eventually I drifted off.

The next morning I woke up to a soft light filtering into my room, groaning I rolled over and looked at the time 6:30 am 'I have to get up or I'll be late for training' I thought to myself as I swung my legs over my bed and hopped down. I walked over to my dresser and grabbed some clothes for the day before changing. I brushed my teeth and hair. I sat my small brush down and looked back up at the mirror, my black hair was long and thick. I didn't like how long my hair was and grabbed a kunai and started to cut it down to my shoulders, I cut in some bangs as well. I looked back into the mirror and was satisfied with the job that I'd done. After I got rid of the cut hair I grabbed an apple and left for today's training. Training today was hard since I had to start learning jutsu's such as the clone jutsu and transformation jutsu.
