A Chunin? part 1

~Time skip 6 months~
Chiyoko's Pov

After another day's worth of training was done I was allowed to go home. My birthday was coming up soon and I'd be 4 this year. 

Gramps Pov

The chunin exams would be starting up soon. looking at the progress that chiyoko's made I'd say that she's ready to go through but the only problem is that she doesn't have a team 'Part 2 is the only one that I'd be worried about for her' After carefully thinking it over I deiced to let her go through but if she didn't pass the 2nd exam then I'd give her a few more years before trying again. 

Chiyoko's Pov

The next morning gramps had called me into his office for something big. When I walked into the office I saw a bunch of other jonin's there. They all looked back to me with a curious look. "Ah there you are chiyoko said gramps with a smile "Gramps" I called out running up to him and hugging his leg as I smiled. "Wait this is the girl you were talking about going through the chunin exams! but she's just a child!" exclaimed one of the jonin "That maybe so but chiyoko's under gone training for the past year and has showed dramatic improvements in tai and ninjutsu so I want to see how she'll do in the chunin exams" said gramps while looking down at me. "So what do you say chiyoko?" he asked "I want to try" I said moving back and putting my hands on my hips as I turned towards the other sensei's "And I could be your genin's butts" I yelled pointing at them as gramps chuckled from beside me. "Go on home now and get some rest, the first exam starts tomorrow in room 303 at the academy so be on time" he said pointing a finger at me "Hai!" I called out running out of the room and back to my apartment. 

The next morning I got up early to pack my bag for the test I would be gone for at least 5 days. After I had packed everything that I'd need up I left my house locking up. I ran to the academy, I ignored the genjutsu placed on the second floor to not draw attention to myself as I snuck past everyone. I saw gramps outside of the testing room and ran up to him "Gramps" I called out hugging his leg as he chuckled. Gramps pulled a black head band out of his pocket "Here, take this you're going to need it" he said while placing the head band in my hand and walking away. I watched his receding figure till gramps was out of my range of sight before looking back down towards the konoha head band I have in my hand. I tied the head band onto my forehead before walking into the 1st exam room. 

All eyes darted to me once I walked into the room. "Your kidding me right? how did a little kid get in here, I thought this was the chunin exams not the academy" said an older boy breaking the silence that had consumed the room. "She has a head band so that means the she must be here to take the exam like the rest of us" said a boy from my right. I looked over to him, he had long black hair tied back in a pony tail, onyx eyes and tear-troughs. He looks like an Uchiha to me, "I'm Itachi, who are you?" he asked while smiling down at me "Chiyoko" I said quietly "What are you doing here?" he asked "Taking the exam like everyone else, gramps said I could" I say a little bit louder this time "Your kidding me right? a kid taking the exam! I guess I'll just have to show her the difference between being a ninja and playing ninja" said someone as they grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me off of the ground while turning them towards me. His breath smelled really bad like onions and garlic, he was tall, skinny, had shaggy brown hair and was wearing a mist head band. 

Everyone was looking towards us to see what was going to happen, from the corner of my eyes I could see itachi drawing a kunai but I punched the man in the face causing him to drop me onto the floor before anything else happened. "You little brat!" he yelled while holding up a hand to his bleeding nose "Everyone shut up!" yelled someone as they body flickered into the room with a group of chunin behind them. "My name is Ibiki Morino and I'll be the proctor of the 1st exam, first off you two in the back nobody gave you permission to fight so knock it off before I disqualify you" he said pointing towards me and the mist nin. 

We all had to draw numbers from a box to get our seats for the exams. I luckily was placed next to itachi but that mist nin from earlier was right next to me as well. Once we all got our seats and were sitting down the tests were handed out. "Before you begin there are some rules that you need to be aware about, rule one no cheating if your caught 5 times then you and your team are disqualified, rule two there are ten points if you get a zero or anyone on your team does then both you and your team are disqualified, and rule three if one of your team mates quits then the entire team is disqualified" said ibiki before he let us start the test. 

I flipped my paper over and started to look over each question 'I don't understand any of this!!!' I looked over to itachi to see that he was already on the last question 'Okay think back to what ibiki said......he said if we got caught cheating! so that means that this is just to test our data collecting skills!! man this guy is smart!' I glanced at itachi's paper and started memorized the answers to questions 1, 2, and 3 before writing them down. I did this for each problem till I was down, I sat my pencil down and looked towards ibiki with a smirk since he was staring at me a confused look on his face 'probably to why I'm in here'  we still had another 20 minutes before the exam ended "Now for the 10th question.....if you get this wrong then you can never take the chunin exam again but the rest of your team can come back again next year" said ibiki with a sadistic smile on his face. Ibiki continued to try and scare us but I wasn't buying anything that he said "Oh so no one else wants to leave?" he asked scanning the room after like half of the kids left. You see we started out with about 30-35 teams including myself during the exam about 15 of them were disqualified leaving 15-20 teams left and just now half of them left due to a team mate or two sussing out so that leaves 7-10 teams for the second exam were about 2 or 3 teams will come out for the 3rd exam its simple logic and math really.

The window to the left side of the room broke and a woman looking to be in her early twenties jumped in with a smile on her face "Yo! I'm Anko the proctor for the second exam" she yelled and got nothing in return but silence "Man your a tough cro-why is there a kid in here?" she said to ibiki while pointing at me "She is solo the hokage has going through on a special exemption since she's never been on a real mission" said ibiki. Anko smirked "She won't make it through my part" said anko. We were led to this place called the forest of death, apparently its really dangerous inside and has claimed the lives of many genin. We all had to sign wavers before getting our scrolls, the object of this part was to get the other scroll for insistence if you had the heaven scroll then you need to find someone with the earth scroll and get it from them by either stealing it or killing them. After you got your scroll then you had to make it to the center tower, and you can't open  them till you get there. Anko said that this was the first year for this method so were basically genuine pigs for next years chunin exams which didn't bother me as much as it did some of the others. 

After signing my waver, getting my scroll and gate number I waited till anko told us to head for our gates. I was sitting on the ground pulling at the grass when a shadow loomed over me, I looked up to see it was itachi and his team. Itachi was smiling down at me as his other two team mates were scowling at me and whispering to each other. "Hey chiyoko" said itachi "Hi sempai" I say since he is older and technique above me in rank since I'm not an official genin "Sempai?" he asked "Well I'm not an official genin so technique you out rank me making you my sempai" I say softly as I pulled out pieces of grass. Itachi chuckled and picked me off of the ground and sat me down on my feet "Anyway what I wanted to talk about was you teaming up with us, you've already attracted a lot of attention today from other's and no doubt their going to track you down thinking it'll be an easy kill, your too young the same age as my brother so why don't we work together and get both of our teams through?" he asked "What scroll do you have?" I asked suspiciously "Earth" he said against his comrades demands I nodded "Me too, I guess it wouldn't be too bad.....I'm at gate 6 as soon as I get in I'll travel east" I said with a smile "I'm at 7 so it shouldn't take too long for us to meet up just be careful okay" he said, I nodded and started off towards my gate.

AN: Yeah I know this is going fast but from this point on book 2 really starts to pick up and get passed some training (note I said some not all)
