The Plan

Bridget was running out of her home, into her backyard, where she collapsed to her knees, sobbing. She sat there on the beautiful green grass in her backyard, on her twenty-fourth birthday -- covering the palm of her small hand over her mouth, to keep the tiny whimpers from coming out of her.

Sobbing for who she had become, sobbing for how she let a man take her power from her, but most of all crying because she was completely lost in her own life, that she used to have control over, and she didn't know why or how she had become this person... Just doing the same thing everyday, no excitement, not really even a life worth living. Bridget had control of her great life, and it all was gone. So she thought. Bridget lived in negativity now, when she once lived in positivity.. She was always the positive one, the one that always had faith and hope. She did not have hope or faith any longer.

Bridget has felt like her life was ruined, at the young age of twenty four. Somewhere between twenty years old to now, she had lost her power. She felt she had lost everything, and it was her fault.

However, it was no one's fault, life just has a way of sometimes changing things, very, very quickly, and once a big thing has changed, it can hurt someone forever. But, it can't keep these people from continuing, and still loving their life. In Bridget's case, she didn't come to grips with the fact, she could bring herself back, and take her power back, and be happy again. Yet, she never knew how to even start to go upon doing that. Bridget figured it was easier to just stay in this situation. Bridget would do her same routine throughout each day, it was almost like the movie, "Groundhog Day." Bridget would just repeat every day the same way she had done the last, and she would cry.

She couldn't cry for the rest of her life, could she? Bridget definitely didn't have to. She needed to learn how to cope and begin starting a new life. Her coping skills were mainly just doing absolutely nothing. She thought each day would get better, but it never did. Not yet, anyway.

"Happy Birthday, my honey bee!" Bridget heard her mother, Elisha, call to her.

Bridget instantly brushed her hands over her face, making sure every tear was wiped away. Her beautiful blue eyes, were puffy and red, and her whole face was blotchy. There was no doubt, Elisha would not be able to tell Bridget had been crying. Elisha knew before she even saw her baby girl. Anytime Elisha would come visit Bee, and notice she was in the backyard, Elisha would instantly know her sweet girl would be crying.

That's where Bridget would go. That's was her place to grieve... For some reason Bridget would go to that same spot, every time she was upset and where she would weep. Elisha knew this was the place Bridget had sat with her boyfriend Ryan, that had been consoling Bee at the time.  Which was on the unfortunate night after Bee lost her best friend. That was the only thing Elisha could guess why Bridget would come back to this exact location in her small backyard.

Bridget didn't know for certain why this was the place she would go when she was in need of a good cry, either. Although, Bright somewhat thought her best friend would be with her in spirit, to comfort and help her, like she had done when she was alive for Bridget. This was the same area Bridget had grieved over her best friend the night she tragically past.

"My honey bee... Come here, baby." Elisha soothed, securing her daughter into her arms. Bridget sank into her mother's embrace.

"Is Ryan here?" Elisha whispered.

"N..no.. H..he went to..to his friend's." Bridget's voice quivered while she tried to talk, and cry at once.

"The lady friend?" Elisha clinched her jaw, as she hugged her daughter, tighter.

"Y..Y.. Yea" Bridget's voice trembled, as she couldn't speak, while she stuttered -- holding back tears... However, even when Bridget wouldn't be crying, she usually had a wobbly voice. Mainly because she had turned into a nervous wreck, after moving in with her boyfriend.

"Why, honey? Why, have you stayed with this boy? I just don't get it!" Elisha almost shouted. She was so frustrated this boy came into her daughter's life.

Ryan, he was no good. No good for Bridget, no good for the world, and Elisha couldn't grasp why Bridget loved him.

"Because, I love him." Bee softly replied.

"He doesn't love you, baby." Elisha kissed her daughter on her forehead, combing Bee's straight blonde hair, with her fingers.

"He does, mom. You just don't see him behind closed doors." Bridget knew that was a lie, but she couldn't confront the truth.

Ryan was the one who was there for her, when she lost her best friend, he was there for her when she needed him, but things changed very quickly... And not for the best. Bridget couldn't leave him, she did love him, but she knew deep down, her mother was right. He didn't love her anymore, if he ever did.

"Okay, honey." Elisha faked a smile, for her girl. She didn't want to argue with her.

Elisha didn't need to argue. Elisha had a plan, and she was going to get Bridget out of this house this evening. She couldn't stand to let her daughter live in hell any longer. Elisha knew that wasn't her daughter anymore, it was the shell of her body, with no life force left. No enthusiasm, no hope, no love for herself.. Nothing.. Just loving a psychopath boy, that Bridget couldn't imagine leaving. Elisha knew Bridget wouldn't leave him on her own, so that's why Elisha had the plan.

Elisha didn't care if her daughter would hate her after what she was going to do. She just wanted Bee to be that beautiful, happy girl again, that strived on life and enjoying each and every moment. Elisha was going to get her out of the house tonight, with the help of her sons and her husband.

There was, indeed, a very thought out plan.
