Bridget had finished telling her mother why everyone had left.. She used the excuse that her dad had told her.. Monica's van's battery had died, and thankfully Bridget said it calmly enough for her mom to believe her. Bee would tell her mother the truth once she got the call that Tony was going to be alright..
Bridget's eye had twitched when she thought about receiving a phone call... She prayed it would be a good call.
Bee had just got outside with Jay, to try and get her mind off of all that was going on.
Just thinking about her poor baby nephew sinking in the water made her sick to her stomach. She wanted to be of some help, not just sit around and wait for some kind of news... She didn't like waiting.. It made Bee more anxious and antsy, and of course brought back those emotions from her best friend's accident, that Bee had witnessed..
Bridget had been on the side of the road, holding her unconscious best friend waiting for the ambulance to arrive at the scene of the accident three years ago. Bridget had unconsciously blocked out a lot of memories on that forsaken night, but Bridget still did remember some moments, that she prayed each and every night she would not have to think of those times.. Bee wished to only remember her bright and cheerful girly girl best friend, Layla.. Not the hurt, unconscious, dying Layla.
Sadly, on Layla's third year anniversary of her death was today, on Bee's birthday, and also on the day Bee's sweet nephew was somewhere caught in the river..
Out of the river and safe, Bee prayed."Whatcha wanna play first Aunt Bridge?" Jay asked, beginning to jump around the yard again.
"Uhm.. Whatever sounds good to you, Jay." Bee weakly smiled, as she noticed the back yard was looking beautiful as always.
The grass was the most beautiful evergreen, with all her mother's purple and yellow Iris' fully bloomed, outlining the back of the house. It was always such a beautiful place, her mother and father always had worked hard making sure everything always looked on point.
Bee also noticed the volleyball net was still standing, in great condition in the middle of the back yard, where it always had stayed, with many yellow, blue, and pink balloons here and there around the yard...
Bridget's favorite colors. Her family really did always make everything such a wonderful celebration.
"Well, we might as well get started on Volleyball, so when everyone gets back we can beat their butts!" Jay shouted with joy, feeling very confident in himself.
Bridget's small smile quickly vanished from hearing Jay saying, "...When everyone gets back.."
Bridget tried to keep thinking positive for Tony, and that he would be back with the rest of the family.
He had to... He just had to. Bridget thought to herself over and over..."O..Okay, Jay." Bee finally replied, still trying to keep herself together.
Meanwhile at the river, Monica had just told Bruce they had Tony and he was going to make it.
"I gotta call Bee." Julian stated after he and Blake had finally got there and heard the news.
"Oh, crap! Call Bee now... She needs to know." Bruce told his father, instantly worrying about his sister..
Bruce knew she was in a state of panic to begin with, but now this was most likely another heavy burden on his sister's shoulder's too... He did feel horrible for just running off like that, without a word to his sister.
