"Bee?" Bridget hears her baby brother's voice, Blake, entering her home.

"Hi Blake." Bee smiled, and gave her brother a bear hug.

"I've missed you, Bee." Blake says with wide eyes, and a pout upon his handsome little baby face.

"I just saw you only a few days ago, and we text all the time." Bridget smiled weakly. Her voice had subsided from the quivering, now that Ryan was gone, out to surf.

However, Blake wasn't talking about missing his sister from not talking to her, Blake missed the old Bee. They all did.

Bridget's body still shook every now and then, thinking about Ryan coming back. What if he had forgotten something, and comes back? What if, what if, what if? That swirled and twirled back and forth in Bee's thoughts. She couldn't live like this, when she didn't have to.

Bridget felt that she had to stay here, living with Ryan. She did love Ryan in a way but besides that, Ryan had threatened her with awful things if she were to leave him for good. Bridget didn't want to think of those threats any longer. She shut her aqua blue eyes real tight, and took a deep breath to come back to reality.

"Bridget?" Blake asked concerned, as he kept scratching the side of his face from being nervous. Blake didn't like Ryan either. Who would?

"Y..Yea? I.. am sorry." Bridget tried to smile, again, but the tremors took over again, after she started thinking about the threats and, 'what ifs'.

"C'mon, Dad's out front, you ready for your birthday party? It's gonna be so rad, Bee!" Blake shook off his nerves, trying to be excited for his big sister.

"Oh, yes." Bee gave a small smile to her brother, he was already as tall as her. Which, wasn't surprising, Bee wasn't that tall herself, but, Blake had just turned sixteen, and he keeps on growing. She was so proud of who he had become, how smart and what a gentleman Blake is.

Bridget felt horrible for her brother to see her like this, such a wreck of emotions. She didn't want Blake to think this was the right way to live, so Bee, tried her best not to hang around him too much. She didn't want any of this to rub off on her perfect baby brother.

That's how low of a self-esteem Bridget has now... It's almost unimaginable how different she is now. No one in her family would have ever guessed in a million years she would turn to be this person. She had so much charisma, so much joy for life. Anyone that knew her would have laughed in someone's face, if they told them this is how Bee would turn out. And, Layla, if she were here, would be so disappointed to know after she had passed away, Bridget would turn into such a wreck. Layla would be so sad it had to turn into what it has.

Bridget had dressed very casual, when usually on any circumstance, she would get dressed up.. For her family parties, she would usually put a long sheer, glamorous, summer dress, that would flow in the wind, add makeup, and straighten her hair from any frizz. Needless to say, that's how she used to dress. Today Bridget had put on a pair of gray yoga pants, that just reached her knees, and a plain, black, baggy cotton shirt. She combed her hair slightly, but it was greasy and frizzy. Which, isn't bad. Bee still looked beautiful no matter what. It just goes to show, how much she's changed...

Bridget threw cold water over her face, hoping her eyes would not be so puffy, and red. They still were, and her ocean crisp, blue eyes were dull. They were no longer sparkling with bright love for life. They were droopy and filled with sadness, that had overcame her being.

"Happy Birthday, Bridget Eleanore!" Bridget's father shouted, getting out of his Nissan truck to give his baby girl a birthday hug.

Bridget had got startled, coming out of the front door hearing shouting. Bridget's first instinct was to jolt when she heard shouting now. After realizing it was just her dad, Julian, shouting her name, she smiled briefly at her father.
