after hours of waiting people started to pour as you were just standing and staring at the stairs mesmerizing the designs; you were surprised how the commoners were shocked at the main door to see you at someone's new years celebration you chuckled as you see some commoners gossiping "they're not aware are they? there countess a will be married but its not me" you crossed your arms and look away from the door "lets go?" the duke popped up beside you and you just look at him while he lend you a hand while the people in the background talk you can see your countess wearing the black dress that she wore at your said so engagement 

"what am I in this world" you thought to your self as you are getting escorted by the duke walking towards the set up stage this family is really wealthy the fact that they can make someone set up a stage on the spot you two are starting waiting to get called at the back of the set up you two opened the folder starting to scan every paragraph to announce "can I see yours?" the duke get up close to you as he shows his folder to you as well at this moment you are busy scanning your folder you cant believe youre doing this the gold cursive writing of your countess just send shivers down to your spine your countess didn't expect that your the one who is gonna read her writing as well making her in disbelief how brave you are ; the wooden black stage just scares you the spotlight is so bright out there where the mic is the set up stage is in between the 2 grand stairs 

you two are at the side of the stage making you two can be seen throughout the waiting time your countess is just watching you the whole time with a disbelief face the fact that she believed that you will chase for her since she had ghosted you for the sake of mother miranda. you released a sigh while the duke reads the paper in your folder he then turn a page and he started to read the speech you worked with the last few days "hm." the duke then gulped and proceeded to mind his own business by stepping back you continued to scan your folder and tapped your foot getting anxious you can already imagine what can your reality will look like luckily the duke is beside you busy scanning his folder as well

Your countess and the other lords then left the table you breath in seeing your countess leaving her chair you look away while your countess and the other lords are at the side of your eye walking towards the left part of the stairs making you have a chance to have contact with your countess "why didn't just take the right-" you mumbled while they started to walk towards you two the three girls are not here though making you lick your lips and think. "why, why why" your countess and everyone started to get closer and closer to you as you gulp the duke then stood near you for a freeway to the host "why.." you started to regret to take the spot to wait at the left side of the stage where the small stairs going up the stage "why did she even placed this small stair on the left-" you breath out and faced your body at your right making you face the main entrance 

you breath in as you see the man that announced your said so engagement as well you gulped as you can hear the echoes of the heels "fucking hell" you put your folder down to examine the place more like nothing happened you can hear the mic getting fixed the sitting guests are in front of you making you shiver the spotlights starting to shine at the stage making your brown hair have a tint of gold you breath in as you avoid eye contact with everyone gossiping you can see the guests leaning each other whispering and staring at you

Elena was behind your countess as they walk across the lobby to perform their entrance the stairs just like normal you can see the red fluffy jacket of Elena as you stare at the chairs of the guests wearing a smile the stairs mother miranda is in front of the four lords making you grab your dress as you look at your side
