"I see your still comfortable, those clothes..."mother miranda suddenly replied as yu sigh looking away getting stressed "hence.. it will be new years today so mind as well act not like a kid y/n" you gulped with mother miranda's words making you sigh and glare at the three woman behind your countess; their shining gemstones are just distracting you returned your gaze to mother miranda feeling the duke's temper rise

you cleared your throat and nodded trying to prepare any words to respond with not wanting to make anything delayed you can see them already teasing as you try to have a serious face not wanting to cry "of course.. after all it will be a wedding to be granted" you giggled as you try not to make your eyes water; mother miranda then chuckled and sipped some tea; suddenly you all heard the main door banged open making you flinch and shift your head to the door "what the hell" you suddenly mumbled making your countess look at you but you didn't care "fuck you" you spoke into your head when you felt your countess's gaze; you are holding your preppy dress as you two and the duke locked your head to the big door

you breath out when you saw some staff carrying some boxes into the castle you formed slight smile when you saw your pink luggage knowing you will be incredible this night the talking, feasting and partying will be held later at midnight you gulped remembering this is the day you will not receive any sleep at all, the duke suddenly shifted his head from the sigh you just released making everyone concerned at you while you are leaning forward watching some staff's bringing some boxes in "are you okay?" the duke suddenly look at your eyes making you all startled "hmm?.. y-yeah of course" you nodded and replied uneasily

you look at everyone of course everyone is here including all of the lords as you swing your feet breathing heavily "hey you can quit this mission if you want to.. you seem uneasy from the start definitely something is bothering you kid?" you suddenly froze when you heard the duke spoke while you are looking at everyone you suddenly laugh when the duke called you a kid you haven't looked at him while he waits for an answer

"no not really and this is important.." you smiled as you felt your heart ached knowing this is the day you will announce the wedding to the family members of the one that you loved from the start you released a giggle while mother miranda was smiling at you of how you act you then put your innocent face again since you are in front of your countess making you form a smile as you look at your white heels

you look at your right side and shifted your head to the duke to talk to him "I miss my teddy bear" you made a childish excuse of why you are uneasy of a sudden; you formed a smile waiting for the dukes reaction while everyone was looking at you two hysterically; the duke then chuckled the fact that he knows your lying is just hilarious to him making you giggle and look away and go back

you breath out and gulped "the bride?" you smiled and looked straight up to your countess's eyes; making her pause in front of you while sipping her tea; this is the first time you look up to her again after so many months of ghosting from this lady; you breath out and formed your sweet smile innocently the atmosphere was becoming intense your smile faded but still wearing an innocent look "keep your cool!" your mind spoke as you breath out trying to calm yourself down making the duke focus to you "pampering" your countess then replied crashing the silence while nodding looking into your eyes; yu then nodded slowly as you released a giggle of how intense the atmosphere is earlier

you cut the eye contact to make everything worst from your countess since the best revenge is no contact as the book that you read says; you breath out and looked at mother miranda like nothing happened "sooo.... we're gonna decorate shall we?" you then looked at the duke he nodded making you shrug your shoulders and smile making your impression much more interesting
