We were kicked out immediately after. The lady began yelling at us, calling us names and telling us to get out of her house.

„You're just like your grandma," the lady yelled, „you betrayed us all! You were given a big opportunity only to betray us in the end!"

After a bunch of yelling, we stood up and quickly made our way back to the car.

„Why did you ask that? You knew she'd get mad at us, so why?" I asked and sat down in the car, waiting for Chris' response. He got in the car after me and smiled, not saying anything for a moment, then finally speaking up.

„I asked her a question and she gave me an answer."
„She kicked us out!"
„Yes, exactly."

I rolled my eyes and looked down at my feet. This man is out of his mind. We could've asked more things, she seemed to trust us both. She seemed to maybe even trust us too much, for some reason.

„Look, I'm sorry. But her reaction tells us that there is a way."
„And how can you be so sure?" I jumped up and looked straight into his eyes, shooting daggers his way. If looks could kill, he'd be dead by now.

„I don't think she'd react that way if they could get killed. She'd probably be calmer, since she'd know that no matter what we try, we'd be unsuccessful."

„Hm, sure. How do we kill them, then?"

„I.. don't know yet."

I sighed and shook my head, then looked out of the window. He didn't have to ask her that. Not so soon, at least. We didn't learn anything from our visit. She was so sure that I'm gonna accept her offer, we could've gotten more information out from her.

Chris stared at me for a few seconds, probably thinking about what to say for a while, but then he just sighed and began driving.
The ride back to the house was silent. There was no music, no talking, nothing. It even made me realize that we basically have nothing to talk about, anyways. We're not friends, are we? We both have a similar goal, which is why we're working together towards it. That's all we are.

„I'm sorry," Chris suddenly said quietly.

„What?"

„I said that I'm sorry," he raised his voice so I could hear him more clearly.

I couldn't help but smile lightly.
„It's okay. I'm sorry too. Let's just.. end all of this as soon as possible. Together."

Completely forgetting what I was thinking about a while ago, I smiled at him more, and he returned the smile.
Maybe I should stop getting mad over everything.

„I'm tired of all this," I mumbled and closed my eyes, resting my head on the seat.

„You can sleep if you want."

„Yeah. Maybe I should."

I took a deep breath and allowed my mind to wander off. I haven't slept properly in a while. Even though I was able to fall asleep at night, I always woke up feeling terrible. It will probably take a while until I'll be able to sleep peacefully again.

I was standing on a field. The whole area was covered in fog, and I was barely able to see anything else other than the field that I was standing on.

I was barefoot.

I felt the cold temperature of the ground reach my whole body, causing me to tremble. However, soon enough I realized that I wasn't only barefoot. I was naked, too.

I quickly looked around myself, trying to find anything that I could cover myself with. I began walking through the fog, trying to see into the distance. Trying to see anything other than the field. Maybe some kind of light, coming from a house, or a building, or a street. Or maybe something that I recognize. Anything.
