Bad news,

was that I was falling hard for Haitani Ran, even saying his name made my heart skip a beat, this was definitely bad news. I was falling for someone who's name I just found out yesterday! I feel like a complete loser but at the same time I felt like my feelings for him just keep growing day by day, and every time I think about him, I felt this weird ache in my heart. Yeah, I was definitely falling for him, and if I was being honest, I was terrified.

I know having a crush was the norm for teens, but for someone like me, it was unexplored territory, something that I've never discovered in my 18 years of living. I feel sick, and if I was being honest, I didn't like this new feeling erupting inside of me as the hours go by. But still there was a part of me that was curious to see how these feelings would play out.

And the way he held me yesterday, that was something I wanted to experience again, and again, and again; I don't think I'd ever get sick of it.

It was the middle of the afternoon now, and I spent most of my day thinking about him, which really wasn't a surprise at this point. Until I heard the doorbell ring which was odd because I wasn't expecting anyone to come by today. I then opened the door and immediately wanted to slam it shut.

"Y/NNNNN I MISSED YOUUUUU!"

Yup I really wished I had slammed the door shut.

Yuna yelled so loudly that I was pretty sure all of Japan herd her. She threw herself on me, hugging me like if we hadn't seen each other for years.

"Yuna I can't breathe your suffocating me!"

"Oh whoops! I can't have you dying yet!"

"Yeah thanks...HUH WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY YET?"

We then decided to put on a movie because she wasn't leaving any time soon so we both sat on the couch re-watching the 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet, all because of Leonardo DiCaprio playing Romeo.

"So, y/n did you get the mystery lover boy's name yesterday?" she said while she shoved popcorn into her mouth.

"Yeah, I did, his name is Haitani Ran." Gosh I could never get tired of saying his name.

And as soon as I said his name Yuna turned towards me with shocked expression on her face, and all I know is that its never a good sign when she makes that face.

"You mean he's the Haitani Ran!" she practically yelled out again. "Um yeah, do you know him?" I couldn't help but feel nervous and play a million simulations through my head wondering how yuna knew Ran in the first place.

"Y/n he and his brother are the hottest yet worst delinquents around here, practically everyone's afraid of them!"

"HE'S A WHAT?" No wonder why that night when he came to my rescue those three idiots seemed like they were going to pee their pants.

But why would a guy like him act so caring and calm towards me? And most importantly why would a guy like him go after a nobody like me? My head was about to explode at this new piece of information.

"Omg y/n I swear I read a manga like this before where this guy was a bad ass gangster but whenever he was around his lover, he would always act gentle and caring towards her. I swear your love life is something out of a shojo manga!" she was beaming with excitement when I looked towards her, but I couldn't help but feel the opposite. I know I only met Ran a few days ago, but he seems like a bigger mystery to me than I originally thought.

"But seriously y/n don't let this cloud your judgement, he could really turn out to be a decent guy, just give it time." She said as she then turned her attention towards the tv.

Maybe she's right, I should take some time to get to know him better and maybe just maybe he will surprise me the most in the end.
