I woke up to the sun peeking through my curtains,

I couldn't help but feel as if today was going to be another beautiful day. I suddenly got up out of bed feeling energetic and excited for mine and Ran's date today. I then took a look at my calendar, it felt as if summer just began, but unfortunately it was quite the opposite. I couldn't help but feel disappointed, I wonder what's going to happen when summer's over, will me and Ran be together? Or will we end up being a summer fling?

I then pushed my negative thoughts away and decided to focus on today. I hope today's date won't end up being a disaster like last night, well let's hope my dad won't murder Ran if he tries to kiss me again today. I then looked at the time and rushed to get dressed so I could meet Ran outside. As soon as I got dressed, I sent a quick text to Ran to let him know that I was ready and to meet me outside by my apartment gates, because if he knocked on my door and my dad opened it, he wouldn't live to see another day, and I would not let that happen before I had my first kiss.

When I opened my bedroom door, I noticed that the house was strangely quiet. As I entered the living room I found a note on the coffee table,

hey princess I'm sorry but this morning I got a call from the office, and they said I had to come in, I promise to spend time with you tomorrow, Love dad <3. 

I wasn't surprised they always called him in on any day off he had, I just wish I could spend even one day, just the two of us without work always calling him in. I had no time to be sad or dwell on the fact that I've barely seen my dad for the past few months, but I did have a date today with the coolest guy on the planet and nothing could get in the way of me living my teenage summer romance.

I got my shoes on and looked in the mirror one last time before I headed out, I've never really felt confident enough to call myself attractive, but today I really did look hot and for the first time, I felt a bit confident in myself. I smiled as I headed out the door, wondering what kind of adventure I'd end up in today.

As I was walking down the stairs, I saw Ran leaning against the gate with both of his hands tucked into his pant pockets, looking spaced out. I suddenly felt my heartbeat increase, he looked so handsome standing there doing absolutely nothing. He looked absolutely beautiful today, from his outfit to his facial features, nothing about him was ever imperfect. And then as if he heard me, he lifted his head, and our eyes met each other. I could never get tired of looking into those dreamy violet eyes of his, it drives me crazy that he has this kind of effect on me, and sometimes it scares me.

I then started walking towards him and a devilish smirk painted that beautiful face of his,

"Hey Shakespeare." he said as he sightly tilted his head with that smirk still present on his face.
