Saying Goodbye To My New Friends
In January two foreign exchange students came to my school.
One from Austria
And one from AustraliaYes I know a little confusing
They came into my life as total strangers but over the time they were here they really changed my life.
I made two new friends who accepted me exactly for who I am
They were both very nice and made me realize some things just weren't as big of deal as I thought they were at the time.
They made me smile when I was down
Hugged me when I was crying and made me feel better
And they made the happy days feel like the best days of my life
Overall they were the best friends I could've asked for
They saw me for me.
Not my social ranking and how popular I was or how much money I had
But instead they judged me by who I was, by my character and still chose to accept me
----
It's never about the length of the friendship but rather about the qualityYou often hear 'quality over quantity'
And that's what this was
In the short amount of time they were here and apart of my life they gave me a wonderful friendship
A friendship of many years in just 4months
I couldn't of asked for anything better
Because they were great friends and they really helped me figure out who I am
I'm very greatful that these two wonderful people came to my school
It's sad to say goodbye because I know I'm going to miss them
Hopefully we can still keep in touch
Sending you hugs from America
