Chapter 21

1 week later
Evas pov: things with Anna have been pretty amazing lately. We're always with eachother and doing things and it never gets boring even if we're just chilling at her house. She's been sneaking in every night and it's really nice.

When I wake up Anna is still sleeping. She had her arm wrapped around me. I go to get up but she pulls me in even tighter and let's out a gentle "no"

E: "Anna come on I gotta shower"

A: "can I join you?"

E: "as lovely as that sounds you really gotta go before my mom comes in here and sees you"

A: "kicking me out already?" she groans rolling over away from me

E: "listen if it was up to me I would never let you leave but it's not so"

A: she rolls back towards me. "Ok"

She gives me a gentle kiss and we get up. "I'll be back in an hour so be ready"

E: "ok"

She grabs her stuff and heads out. I take a shower and do my hair and makeup. I made sure to pick out a really cute outfit just for Anna.

I keep checking the clock. She said an hour but it's been almost 2 at this point. I tried texting her but I didn't hear anything back.

It was now 10 pm and I hadn't heard anything. I was so pissed. She ditched me for god knows what. I changed into a hoodie and sweats and was getting ready to just go to sleep to keep my mind off it when my window slid open and in came anna.

A: "hey" she said closing the window

I didn't say anything to her. I just rolled the other way and pretended I couldn't see or hear her.

A: "look I'm really sorry about today. Something came up"

E: "you could have told me"

A: "I would have but I lost my phone"

I didn't say anything. I just kept facing the other way. She turned me to face her and cupped my cheek with her hand.

A: "I'm really sorry ok"

E: "it's fine"

A: "you sure"

E: "yeah"

A: "ok. Now get up you lazy bun we got things to do" she said hopping up off the bed and opening the window.

E: "what?" I ask sitting up

A: "let's goooo" she says then climbs out the window.

I put on some shoes and went out the window too. We headed to her car and got in. She started it then faced me.

A: "I don't know about you but I'm starving. Wanna go get some food?"

E: "I could eat"

A: "good. I know this really good diner that's open 24/7 so we can go there"

E: "alright"

She rests her hand on my thigh as she drives. I like to watch her as she drives. As she sings along to the music. The way she looks over at me every chance she gets.

When we get there she runs over to my door before i can get out and opens it for me. "Allow me" she says as she holds her hand out for me. I grab it and we laugh as she helps me out. She hold my hand and we head inside.

When we walk in the waiter tells us to seat ourselves and she'll be right with us. Anna immediately runs to an open booth in the corner and jumps in. I walk over and sit across from her.

A: "this booth is the best. It's a sacred spot"

E: "oh yeah and why's that?"

A: "it just is. It's my special booth"

The waiter comes over and brings us some waters. "You guys want anything else to drink?"

A: "um I'm good with water"

E: "yeah me too"

"Ok. What can I get you ladies to eat?" she asks

E: "I'll just have a cheeseburger and some fries"

A: "I'll have a stack of chocolate chip pancakes please"

She writes it down "I'll have that out for you in a bit" she says then walks away. I turn back to Anna who was building a tower out of the creamers.

E: "chocolate chip pancakes at 10:30 at night?"

A: "yeah. What's wrong with that?"

E: "nothing it's just...different"

A: "well pancakes are awesome and can be eaten whenever"

E: "meh I personally think waffles are way better"

A: "WHAT!" She yells

E: "shhh" I say and we both laugh

A: "pancakes are so much better. They are really soft and practically melt in your mouth. Plus they are easier to draw things on with the whipped cream"

E: "no way. Waffles have that amazing crunch and pockets to hold more syrup. Plus you can draw things just as easy in waffles"

A: "ok that's it's. WAITER!" she yells. "Can we add an order of waffles please"

"Of course. I'll get those started"

E: "really anna?"

A: "we have to test it out now"

We get our food and talk about more stupid stuff. Anna makes a very good argument about why pancakes are better but i still vote waffles. When we're finished anna leaves some money and we head out to the car. But before Anna gets in she stops.

A: "I want pie"

E: "annaaaa. I'm tired"

A: "it won't take long. I'm gonna get it to go. I'll be back" she says and runs inside.

I get in the car and go on my phone. I was watching a video when I start to doze off and accidentally drop my phone. It goes under the seat. "Shit" I reach under until I grab what feels like a phone. When I pull it out it turns out it's Anna's phone. The screen lights up and I can't help but look. I see Katie's name pop up and a i read the message. "I had fun today. Text me when you find your phone"

See normally I would be mad but I trust her. Instead I just put the phone on my lap and reach to grab mine. I find it and as I pull it out anna gets in.

A: "I got milkshakes too" she says as she places them in the cup holder.

E: "sweet" I say as I grab mine and take a sip. "Oh I found your phone" i say handing it to her.

Without even looking she just throws it in the back.
"I don't need it right now. I have you right in front of me"

I smile and she starts driving again. I trust her so I shouldn't have any reason to worry. We park down the block and head back to my house. We sneak back in. We eat the pie and drink the milkshakes. We talk some more and then I let out a big yawn.

E: "I'm really tired. I think I'm gonna go to sleep now" i say laying down

A: "yeah me too" she says laying down too

I lay on her and rest my head in her chest and kisses my head. Our breathing syncing with each other's. It calms me and I fall asleep.
