More Than Meets The Eye

When Tony came back, he came when he knew that this Parker kid would be gone. And surprisingly, he couldn't find a trace of demonic energy in the place. He thought that he might have been wrong in the beginning when he noticed that the rest of the place was also squeaky clean.

Knowing how to get rid of this kind of energy was uncommon, the average human didn't know how to do it, neither did an inexperienced demon. So how did this kid, assuming that the cleaning wasn't a coincidence, know?

He thought of his previous theory. How him and Osborn had been canoodling on the side. But if Harry cleaned or had the knowledge to teach his boyfriend how to, then he was even bigger of a threat then originally thought. From the incident with Deadpool, the Avengers assumed that he had to have been a young, arrogant thing. The older demons never let a hunter get a second look before they researched extensively but the young ones thought that they were invulnerable or something.

Wilson had an impressive track record and had boasted that the only challenge for him would be the Spider and although he wasn't a demon himself, he agreed. For a man like that, Osborn should have known that going in guns blazing was not the correct move. And the broad man was unkillable, through some sort of means he couldn't die, or at least stay dead. This poorly played chess game let Tony know all he needed to know but standing here, he knew that he wasn't standing in the den of an amateur.

Peter Parker was involved way deeper into this dilemma than he let off. Stark just needed to figure out the how and the why. Don't get him wrong, he's all for supporting a fellow pro-demon human but he didn't know if that was even the case. And if it was, the demon he loved is now a wanted man. Osborn broke the code after all.

Could it be considered stalking if he was doing it for the greater good? As soon as he had left, the billionaire was back in his lab and was using any security footage of Parker that he could get his grubby little hands on. The kid acted ordinary and it was boring. But hard work paid of and he noticed a strange pattern that the boy exhibited.

In even the most crowded street, his body subconsciously moved to acknowledge Wilson's presence. It was quick and he was always drowning in other people so he wondered if the movement would even have been noticed during the present or if he was lucky for the privilege of viewing it from a recording. So, know he was left with the question of why? He was sitting there playing Where's Waldo looking for Wilson's shape but Parker locked onto him in an instance like he knew that Wade was there. 3hy did he make himself hyper aware of the Demon Hunter?

Unless...

He had it all wrong! Peter wasn't dating the demon; he was dating the demon hunter. The dancer was perfect demon bait after all. And as someone who would spend all day with demons and allegedly had a curse, Wade would carry demon energy on him. And would know how to clean it. The cleaning could be a regular thing in this scenario or perhaps it was cleaned for a more nefarious purpose.

Tony slowly shook his head at his screen. If he hadn't figured out the reason for the cleaning, he would have sent in Nat or one of the others. He realized now that if he had, he would have sent them straight to their deaths.

He made a mental note to make sure that the dancer was watched from a distance. Next time he might not catch up in time.

Meanwhile, Peter was on his walk home. His nerves were shot and he tried to keep to an even pace as he was being followed. Wade was rather insisted with his tailing and the dancer decidedly hated it. This guy was super annoying. Why couldn't he have waited to get rid of the body, he'll probably be stuck with this for eternity, an eternity where he wouldn't age. It was too early to fake his own death.

Plus, he feared that he wouldn't be convincing enough. This was the most attention he's ever had on him. He despised every bit of it. Wilson was a creep; he knew that already. Wilson had vastly different morals than his own, knew that one too. And he knew that Wilson didn't care who was on the other end when he pulls the trigger, as long as they're a demon.

To him, it didn't matter if the demon was scum of the scum or non-cannibal. Peter knew all of this. But a lonely little part of him wanted to know the man behind the monster.
