Safely nestled in his apartment, Pete dug up his banged up laptop, he was stubborn and refused to replace it, plus he prefered his income go towards education as he was rather fond of learning. Sitting on his bed in a nest of blankets, the Spider made haste to look up this Wade Wilson. He needed to know who he was dealing with in terms of threat, though that didn't deter the fierce blush that settled over his features. If he blushed, or if his fingers were a little bit shaky as he typed in the name or if he bit his lip while he waited for the search engine to provide him with results, well, that was his business.

He was a little bit scared with what it came up with. He was in fact a hunter with the code Deadpool- and if that didn't install a sense of fear- who had an impressive list of victories. Petey didn't see a corelation but all of the victims were listed under a group called "X-men" despite not all of them being men. After what seemed like an hour's worth if reading, the demon figured out that it was a title because these demons were well hidden and didn't have a lot of information attatched to them. Some were unlucky enough to get a furst name, he was surprised when he saw that a girl had gotten her full name and a picture included- most just had an artist's representation- his heart went out for this Jean Grey, even if she was already dead.

The list was so long that the small man had fallen asleep while reading it. Peter rubbed at his eyes with a lazy sluggishness, his eyes squinting from the offending lights that he had fallen asleep with turned on. That sucked. He slowly hefted himself up to be standing and slowly crept towards where he kept his laptop, then tothe switches so he could turn off thelights and then to a window that he had not realized he had left open. He grimaced at how many creatures could have possible flown into his home because of the negligence.

The Spider looked down and out, into his street. His brown eyes widened as he saw the still body of a man laying down at the mouth of the alley that started directly across from Pete's place. He noticed the man from mugshots and he rather excitedly took into account the lack of other demons in the area.

Perhaps the guy got into a gang fight or some other sort of deadly disagreement with a human, or a demon who was lucky enough to not have a hunger for people, which meant that he was fair game. Peter hadn't eaten yet today so he was almost eager enough to go sprinting out of his apartment to risk a bite when he spotted something that made his blood run cold, it was a shock that he was even able to see.

Mostly masked by shadows was an intimidating figure hiding in the alley. Pete recognized the silhouette, how could he not? It wouldn't take a genius to recognize Wilson' formidable form.

Peter had heard of the hunting tacgic before. It was like hunting any other creature or perhaps even fishing, this Deadpool was hunting with bait. Pete had thought the tactic was too cruel and cold to actually use the practice but the fact that Wade was out there using it made Pete feel conflicted. One on hand, it made him worried because if he had to fight this man, there was a greater chance that he'll lose. But on the other, it made him happy. If the man had a lack in morals, maybe he wasn't so bad.

No, he was a hunter. Hunters were bad. It also made him feel a little angry that he was positioned directly across from his place. It was stalking and he did tell him not to follow him home, so a break of trust.

Peter considered going out there. Considered yelling at the brutish man and even sneak in an arm squeeze, then once getting the man to leave he could make good use of the offering. He also considered calling up Aunt May. He could call the police but the police might suspect him of being a demon, which meant little to nothing in New York but Pete had maybe a little too much pride and he liked forno one to know his secret identity.

Here in New York, the cops were crooked. They didn't care if someone was a demon, especially when they can get something out of it. And if a body went missing, you'd know where it went. Cops here had a history of making under the table deals and one of those deals was that they would give bodies they didn't want to deal with to demons. It was just the practice.

Peter weighed his options but the next time he looked out the window, both the hunter and the body were nowhere to be seen and he could see the faint blue and red lights. Seems someone else called the cops and Wade just booked it. That was strange, the speed was even stranger. Just who was this Wade Wilson and what was hiding away from public information? Peter was dangerously intrigued.
