A/N: There was my first scene skip in here. I tried to write it, but it didn't sound very believable, so I decided to try my hand at the wonderful art of time-skipping. Don't panic, you didn't miss anything. Peter will explain in a few paragraphs.

Peter swung back to his current alley at record speed, heart pounding. That was a nightmare. He shouldn't ever do something like that again.
Sneaking into Leonard Saber's house...what had he been thinking?
Isn't that what heroes do? he reminded himself. If you're going to be a hero, you need to get used to doing this kind of stuff.
The thought made him shaky. What did the world expect from him? He was just a kid. He wasn't an Avenger.
He sat down on the ground, breathing hard. The events of the past hour and a half finally seemed to crash down on him. He ripped off his mask and covered his face with his hands, heart racing.
What's happening?
He slowly lifted his head and stared up at the small piece of blue sky squeezed between the buildings. A cloud drifted past, seeming to wave down at him. Then another. And another.
He managed to calm himself, slipping out of the suit and into his old clothes. So much had happened today, he didn't even want to think about it, but the memories of that afternoon came back anyway.
"Can't I come along?" Peter had asked quickly as Mr. Stark pulled up an address on the hologram desk. He scoffed.
"No. Sorry, kid, but this is for adults. Why don't you go home and look for your uncle while I'm gone?"
Peter had clenched his jaw, taking careful note of where the address was. "But I want to help!"
"Help by not helping." Mr. Stark started putting on his Iron Man suit when Peter had had a good idea.
"Hey! Aren't you supposed to be spending time with your family?"
That sure stopped the great hero dead in his tracks. He slowly started taking off the suit.
"Aahhh shoot. You're right." He clapped and spun around, pointing at Peter. "New plan. I make my wife happy, you make your uncle happy, then everyone's happy."
The door flew open and Happy poked his head in.
"You called?" he asked, out of breath.
"What? No," Mr. Stark made shooing motions with his hands. "Go. I'm trying to have a talk."
Peter could tell from the look on Tony Stark's face that he wasn't going to wait on him to act. He would have probably gone late that night or early the next morning, forgetting all about Peter Parker the intern once that was done. But Peter had put on a fake smile and grabbed his backpack.
"Great! Okay! Thanks, Mr. Stark! See you then!" he had happily walked out of the room and ridden the elevator downstairs.
As soon as he was outside of the Stark Tower and in the cool afternoon air, he'd headed for the nearest alley and jumped into his homemade suit.
He'd pulled out his phone and typed in the address that Mr. Stark had up on the hologram desk: Leonard Saber's house.
Not too far from here, he thought with a smile. I'll just go in and investigate.
It hadn't been too hard. Mr. Saber had been having some sort of party, so it had been easy to pose as Mr. Stark's other son and slip inside unnoticed.
