Happy as he's noticing all the little strange things about Peter ^^

***

Tony got a text from Banner as he was crawling out of bed. He was exhausted from last night, not being able to sleep and all. He didn't fall back asleep after checking on Parker, either. He'd decided to pass the time at five AM and call the police department, alerting them to Parker's location. After that he had decided to at least try to fall back asleep. He hadn't been successful, so he'd just laid there for hours.

Hi Tony, the text read. I've just finished Peter Parker's medical eval. He seems to be doing just fine, but he didn't want to show me that burn you told me about. I'm doing some lab work later today and I thought I would do his bloodwork, but I've misplaced the vials. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well there's nothing u can do about it now, Tony replied. I called the police department this morning and theyre sending a social worker to take him. about the vials try looking harder.

Tony stared at the the line about taking Peter for a few more moments before switching off his phone.

He wasn't in the mood for breakfast, so he headed straight into headquarters to see what work he could get done.

My suits need some updates, he thought. Maybe I can work on increasing thruster power again.

Tony headed down to his private workshop, but he found it hard to concentrate. His hands didn't want to do everything on their own like they used to--they were just as distracted as his mind.

He found himself thinking about Peter. If his check-up was over, then where was he?

The thought grew more urgent until it pushed all of the others out of his mind. He picked up his phone and called Happy.

"Where's the kid?" Tony blurted.

"Oh, hello to you too," Happy grumbled. "Calm down, the kid's right here."

"Where is here?"

"I told you, calm down!" Happy snapped. Tony heard the kid's voice in the background, probably asking a million questions.

"If you don't tell me where you are, I'll have FRIDAY track you," Tony threatened.

"Jeez, boss. I was getting there. We're just taking a little drive, I got him some ice cream."

"Why did you do that? What if he has allergies?"

"He's fifteen, Tony, I think he can tell me if he has any allergies."

Tony could hear the smile in Happy's voice and the kid giggling in the background.

"Fair enough. Just get back here as soon as you can."

"The state there already?"

"No, I just wanna make sure everything's okay. Uh, also, I'm not sure we're allowed to take him places," he added quickly.

Happy promised to come home soon, after a stifled snicker. Tony sighed and tossed his phone over his shoulder.

He opened one of his computers and double-checked the school on Peter's file, clicking on their website.

There were many pages. At the top of the home page there were pictures displayed, one of which showed a decathlon team in yellow suit jackets holding up a small trophy in triumph. Below that read the caption National Decathlon Runner-Ups! Peter was among them, but he was a little smaller and had black-framed glasses.
