Austin's POV Of "Chapter 4: Janitors closet"
I don't know how long I've been here, lying on the floor of this closet; crying my eyes out like a fucking baby.
I hate how weak I am. I hate that even in this moment, reliving a traumatic moment in my life all I can think about is her. Her touch, her voice, everything about her.
I try to shake the thoroughly if her out of my head and attempt to calm down so I can go to class. The key word is attempt because it's not working.
But then the door opens and I panic.
Oh god someone's going to come in here and see me, then I'll be the laughing stick of the school. Oh my fucking god.
"Austin?"
I only seem to cry harder once I hear her voice.
"AUSTIN!" She yelled running over and kneeling beside me. She cupped my face as she muttered "Austin it's okay. It's okay shh I'm here"
She sits on the ground leaning against the wall and pulls me into an awkward hug between her legs so my face is kinda smooshed in her stomach.
I don't know why she's here, why she stayed. Look at me. Crying in a closet at school, I'm pathetic.
I wrap my arms around her trying to comfort myself
"Austin it's alright. You're safe. I'm here you'll be okay" I- I've never felt safe with someone like this before. Why does everything wash away when she's here? "thank you" I mumbled."It's okay. Don't thank me. Hey Austin do you want to go home? I'll drive you."
I look up at her in almost panic, "Please don't leave me" i whispered.
She ran a hand through my hair, "I won't, I promise. But Austin we have to leave the closet soon and once the bells rings and everyone is in class I will get you out of this place and we'll go home okay?"
I nodded my head and settled back down as we waited for the bell to ring. Being in her arms was one of the best things I've ever experienced, and I'm too selfish to let go.
Ringggg!
As soon as we heard the foot traffic die down she looked at me, "C'mon. Lets go austin" i nodded and she helped me up. Alexa cracked the door open to check if anybody was out there, if someone saw me like this- face all puffy and red from crying- I'd simply die. She took off her jacket and flung it around me so it covered my face a bit "Thank you" i mumbled. She grabbed my hand and led me to her car.
"Do you want to lay down in the back seat for a little?" She asked and I nodded. As I lied there all I could think about was how she was doing this out of putty and how embarrassed I was that she's seen me in this state.
"Hey were home. We gotta go inside now." I didn't even realize she'd opened the door and spoke until it registered and I panicked.
"What not my house. Please. My moms home" i pleaded.
"It's okay we can go to my house. My parents are on a trip till like next month and Cory has practice and he's sleeping over Luke's tonight."
What did I do to deserve her? Nothing. I hugged her tight to show my thankfulness.
She unlocked the door, "Austin c'mon let's walk up the stairs now" then she led me up to her room. "Give me a sec" she said Turing to leave. But i grabbed her arm and looked at her pleadingly, "please don't leave me."
She looked me in the eye, "I'm going to be right back, I just have to get something from Downstairs really quick okay? I'm not leaving you nor will I ever leave you."
