Dhampir

(Adrien's POV)

I can't believe that I finally get to eat normal food as a dhampir. I never felt so famished this morning. But at least I made it convincing for my dad that I'm not 'stressed' of the 'loss of appetite'. When apparently, it's because normal food is very lethal when I was a vampire.

Now this time I was in the back seat without hypnotizing my bodyguard because I don't have to worry about my reflection. I hope for sure my friends don't notice my fangs. Marinette already knows.

The good news is that I'm still immune to daylight. Even if they think I'm a vampire, they'll just think it's just their imagination because vampires don't walk in sunlight.

"Hey, dude. You're early. Did you get away from your dad this time?" Nino walking up to me as we head inside the school.

"No, I just woke up early this morning. My dad is always the same as usual but I'm used to it" I said, being casual.

"Well, Ladybug and Cat Noir sure put up a fight against the Animan yesterday," Nino said.

"I noticed" We head to our locker room, "I see you're in a good mood, turtle boy. You and Alya's love still strong?" I asked as I grab my books.

"Yup. And I see you and your dudette are becoming closer." Nino said.

"Yeah, she's like my Chinese princess. Even though she's half Chinese. She's so....miraculous" I sighed in love.

"You're getting lovesick, my man. Stay focus on reality" Nino laughed at my doofus face.

"Yeah, after all, love conquers hatred." I chuckled.

"Just make sure those fangirls don't kill her," Nino said.

"Then I'll be her knight in shining armor." I joked.

"Whatever you say, Prince Charming." Nino laughed as we headed out and up the stairs to Ms. Bustier's classroom.

I was hugged by Marinette and I hugged her back. Of course, that moment was ruined when Chloe let's put her obnoxious ranting.

"Aw come on Adrien! Are you dating that ridiculous Marinette?!" She complained obnoxiously.

"Yes, I am. She makes me happy unlike you" I glared at her and let Marinette go sit at her seat next to Alya and sit next to Nino.

"Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" Chloe scoffed.

"Oh be quiet!" Alya told her off.

I don't feel the urge of biting her neck off, perhaps I still have part of my human self. Which is a good thing because I don't have to worry about my blood frenzy.

Soon Ms. Bustier came into the classroom, "Good morning class."

We all said good morning to her, except for Chloe who is always a brat.

Lunch came and I sat next to my friends this time since I said that I'm 'stress-free' and I got my appetite back. It was a little lie but it made them feel convinced.

"Glad you overcame your stress, Adrien." Marinette acted along.

"Thanks. I'm sorry I've been distant in the cafeteria you guys. I didn't wanna ruin anything because of my stress and loss of appetite" I said, pretending to apologize to my friends.

"It's okay Adrien, we're by your side," Nino said.

"You had a loss of appetite for a week?" Alya asked in confusion.

"Yeah due to stress," I replied.

"You seem to be in good shape," Kim said, noticing that I haven't lost weight if that's what he thinks.
