Chapter 2: MNSOR

Reese's POV

Lahat ng mga kaklasi ko and other schoolmates in the same level are enjoying themselves while I'm here on the bench slacking off. Jeremy went to his varsity team, they are just chatting probably about their upcoming game.

My game is not in yet so I don't need to be in the platform and practice. Since I only will participate in three-legged race, there is nothing much I have to do.

From here, I can see everyone who are busy with their business. My eyes found Callista in the center stretching her arms and getting ready to play the ball. She and her teammates will be playing volleyball, as always she is entering different types of sports this year too.

She is pretty far from me, I mean in general. I am completely out of her league. She is opposite from a weakling like me.

I see Adrianne walks towards her with a stunning smile on his face as girls started to scream in excitement. He is one popular guy in our school and Vice President of the student council while Callista is the president. They both are well-matched together and that's the sad truth I know. They both have good looks and almost good at everything.

"Callie! Are you gonna play most of the sports this year again?" He said and wrapped his arm around Callista's shoulder. She looked at him blank and shrugs him off.

"I am." She said indifferently.

Yes, I can hear them despite the distance. The only thing I'm good at is my hearing and eyesight even the faintest whisper I can hear and my eyesight is as good as the raptor's.

"Good! Me too. Then we'll compete with each other again, I won't go easy this time." He said as he winks at her.

"Oh c'mon Adrianne you can never win against our Queen." One of the ladies commented.

"We'll see. If I win, Callista you go on a date with me in the weekend. If I lose I'll go on a date with you." He smirked. I can tell that my face is gloomy seeing how close they are to each other. I know they both look good together but I can't tolerate it kung sila ay magdate. Naghiyawan naman ang mga kababaihan while Callista never changed her stern facial expression.

"I'm not going with you whether I loose or win." She replied and moved away from him. Napatawa na lamang si Adrianne as if that was funny.

Adrianne is one of the popular guy in school not only because he is good at sports but also he has this good looks that every girls starved for to see. He publicly announced that he likes Callista but she often ignores him and rejected three times. Knowing that makes me realize na I don't have hope for her.

"*sigh* I wish I was different." I murmured.

An hour later...

"Ok guys, whoever is in the three-legged relay please come in line with your partner. We will begin." Ani nung PE teacher namin. Bumaba ako upang hanapin si Jeremy but....

"Jeremy?" Where is he? My eyes can't find even his shadow.

*Ring...Ring...*

(In coming call: Jeremy)

"Where on earth are you?"

"Budz sorry, yung coach namin biglaan kaming pinatawag for meeting. Are they going to start na ba?" .....

"Uhm...it's ok. Let's just meet later during lunchtime." Sabi ko nalang I don't want him to get worried about me not having a partner.

"You sure buddy?"

"Yes. I'm good. I'll see you nalang later."

"Osige. Bye."

Now what? I look at my peers who have their own partners getting ready for the game while I'm here standing at the back like an idiot.
