Chapter 5: MNSOR

Reese's POV

Days had passed and the awaiting Sports Day is finally here unfortunately I can't enter a game at all especially when my ankle is fractured. I can't move with this leg without limping. The swelling has subsided tho but still the pain is there. I am excused for this event kaya naupo nalamang ako sa bench as an audience. I don't really care dahil ayoko ko din namang maglaro. Ayokong mangamoy pawis at mapagod sa kakalaro.

Matao ang school dahil yung ibang kalapit school namin are here to watch the event. Marami ding mga stands na nagbebenta ng foods, drinks, and souvenirs. Medyo nagugutom ako kaya nagtungo ako sa isa sa mga stands kung saan may nagbebenta ng corndogs. Bumili din ako ng drinks at naghanap ng mauupuan sa hindi matao.

Naupo ako sa ilalim ng puno sa likod ng school building, may mga estudyante din dito pero bilang lang. Tyaka di din ito malayo sa exit ng school namin.

"Callie...what should I do?" I heard Adrianne's voice sa di kalayuan. I hid myself and tried to peek. And there is Adrianne, Callista...Anna and Lily na isa sa mga student councils. Walang kibo namang naglalakad si Callista.

"I like you very much Callista. Can you please date me?" He pled with his puppy eyes.

"No. I don't like you." Ni hindi ito nagdalawang isip sa naisagot. Napanguso naman si Adrianne.

"Hahaha Adrianne is this your 2nd rejection from Callie?" Tawang tanong ni Lily.

"No. This is the 4th." He answered still pouting.

"Wow! Until when do you plan on confessing and getting rejected right in the spot?" Sabi naman ni Anna.

"Until she says yes to me. Callista, I won't give up on you. I'll make you mine, mark my word one of these days you'll beg me to date you." He smirks as he is full of confidence.

"And one of these days my decision will remain the same." She coldly replied. She's so cool and at the same time harsh T_T Adrianne has been rejected fourth times. That means my chance of dating her is zero. It breaks my heart knowing that fact.

Nanlumo akong nabalik sa kinauupuan ko tyaka walang ganang kinain ang corndog na binili ko. Suddenly, nawalan ako ng gana parang ako yung na reject sa mga nasaksihan ko.

I mean look at me, I'm more below than Adrianne. I can never confess my feelings towards her. It's much better to just hide this feelings forever. I already know the answer naman whether kung mag confess ako o hindi. Ang bigat lang kasi sa pakiramdam na sa tuwing nakikita ko si Callista or sa tuwing kinakausap nya ako, pakiramdam ko lumalalim lalo ang feelings ko sa kanya. I know that this needs to be let out or I'll explode but I have embarrassed myself enough sa harap nya. Kung sabihin ko sa kanya na gusto ko sya panigurado wala na akong mukha pang ihaharap sa kanya.

Matapos akong mag emote sa ilalim ng puno paika-ika akong nagtungo sa classroom. Wala din naman akong gagawin dito sa field eh. Ayaw ko din ng matao. Si Jeremy naman busy sa sports na lalaruin nya. Mas mabuti nalang na bumalik ako sa classroom and maybe review May notes kasi pagkatapos ng festival na to is finals na namin, which is two weeks from now.

"Look who's here!" Hinarang ako ng dalawang lalaki na kalevel ko din while I'm on my way sa floor kung saan ang classroom namin. Yung nagsalita ay ang lalaking nakapartner ko nung isang araw na akala ay babae ako.

"H-hi..." Mahinang bati ko.

"Pfft. What happened to your leg? Did I pushed you too hard?" Sabay silang dalawa tumawa. Pilit kong hindi initindi ang asal nila at nagsimula ulit maglakad.

"Wait teka lang. Nagmamadali ka eh." Sabi nung kasama nito at kinorner ako. Mas matangkad ang mga ito sa akin at malaki ang mga katawan kaya hindi ko sila maitulak palayo sa akin.

"Let me go." I said trying to be brave.

"Why should we? Don't you desire this as well? Don't you desire guys like us?" I feel like I'm gonna puke, this bastard does he think we are on the same level?!

"No. I'm not like what you think I am. I am not a pervert and bully  like you!" I said trying to push him away but he forcefully grabbed my hand as he look at me with a pair of scorching eyes.

"What did you say? Who's the pervert? Who's the bully? Are you referring to me?!" He sounded annoyed as his friend throw a dagger look at me. My hand hurts as he is gripping it tightly.

"I said let me go!" I pulled my hand back as I push them and tried to run away. But immediately got caught.

"You girly looking bastard trying to piss the fuq out of us?!" He grabbed my collar and ready to punch me in the face wala naman akong nagawa kundi ang ipikit na lamang ang mga mata at antayin ang pagdapo ng kamao nito sa mukha ko.

Ngunit bigla akong nakaramdam ng mainit na katawan na biglang dumapo sa likuran ko. Nakita ko nalang ang brasong sumalo sa kamao nung kapwa kong estudyante. While the other arm is wrapped around my shoulder as if trying to protect me.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? Violence is not allowed in the school or even outside ground. Are you both asking for a punishment befit for bullies like you?" Nabato ako sa boses na narinig.

"P-President...No! W-we're not bullying him. He's the one who triggered us." Ehh?! Bigla namang tinapi ni Callista ang kamao nito kanina.

"Do you think I'm stupid? If I am to report this, both of you will be done for."

"W-what? I-I didn't do anything, this guy pretended to be a girl and seduced me."

"I-It was y-you who jumped into conclusion thinking I was a girl." I defended.

"W-what?...Aish! Whatever, I got nothing to do with you anymore...losers." Sabi nalang nito at sabay na hinila ang kasama paalis.

"....." Callista, she then let go of me....

"T-thank you." I said. I can still feel the warmth of her body on my back and I can also feel the heat on my face.

"Are you ok?" I nodded slowly. Why? Why is it every time I'm in a pathetic situation she's always there to witness?

"Your ears are red, are you sure you ok? Are you sick again?" Bigla akong napalayo sa kanya at hinarap sya. I can't look her in the eyes, I'm scared na baka mas lalong mahulog ang loob ko sa kanya. This is not the time to be intoxicated.

"I-I'm fine. Thank you for the help and sorry to trouble you." I said and started to walk away.

"Are you not going to the field and watch the games then?" Tanong nito.

"A-ah...no...I don't like sports anyways. Uhm...Good luck with your games. I-I know you'll win." I can feel her gaze on me but I did not dare to look back.

"Sure. Thanks." Sagot na lang nito at umalis na din.

Napasalampak ako sa upuan ko at hinampas ang textbook ko sa mukha. That was awkward and embarrassing and pathetic!!

Iginugol ko nalang ang oras ko sa pag aaral. While busy ang lahat sa event. Rinig ko padin naman dito ang announcement kung sino yung mga nanalo and I constantly hear Callista's name being called as winner ganun di si Adrianne and Jeremy. That makes me happy.
