Archie sat at the end of his hospital bed, his mother helping him with his shoes. He had spent almost a week in hospital for the wound and the fact that he drowned and now, he was pretty much good to go. Before he was discharged, he had been told to not do anything strenuous. And like when his back was badly damaged, he agreed to not do anything excessive that would affect the wound.

For the next few days, Archie took things gently. He refrained from trying to reach for things that were above him and he sat out during football practice.

"How're you feeling, Archie?" Veronica asked as she sat next to Archie on the bleachers as the football team practiced.

"I guess I'm ok" Archie sighed.

"What's the matter?" Veronica asked, noticing the tone Archie used.

"I just wish I could be out on the field. I'm supposed to be training with the guys so we can actually win the next match in two weeks" Archie told her.

"Well, your doctor told you to take it easy. That means no football. At least until you're fit to do it. So, when you're healed and you no longer need stitches" Veronica said. Archie nodded. He then looked at her and kissed her. She kissed him back.

"I love you, Ronnie" Archie smiled.

"I love you too, Archikins" Veronica smiled back.

"Hey, I was thinking....how about we go and see a movie. Something to cheer you up" Veronica then said to Archie, looking at him. Archie nodded at that.

"I'd like that" Archie smiled. Veronica smiled back.

Then after school, Veronica and Archie went to the movie theatre to watch a movie. And they enjoyed every bit of it.

After the movie, they headed to Pop's and had some burgers and curly fries and shared a milkshake together.

It was an amazing night for the both of them. And Archie finally felt at peace. He wouldn't have to worry about anyone coming after to him because right now, he was with the one person he loved the most. Veronica Lodge.
