Chapter 9 The Complications

A few hours had now passed and Betty and Jughead has gone home while Veronica stayed at the Andrews house.

It was now almost pitch black outside and Veronica was helping Archie onto his bed.

"Thanks Ronnie. I really appreciate this" Archie said as he looked at Veronica.

"Well. You are my boyfriend" Veronica said as she covered half of Archie's body with the blanket.

Veronica then sat on the edge of Archie's bed and put her hand on Archie's cheek. Archie then did the same thing.

"I'm glad you're here, Ronnie" Archie said with a smile.

"Well. I'm glad that you're here" Veronica then said with a smile.

Then Veronica climbed right over Archie and then she climbed under the covers with Archie and then rested her head on Archie's chest.

Then slowly, the two of them fell asleep.

About ten minutes later, something woke Veronica up. As she opened her eyes, she felt the bed shake a bit. As she looked at Archie, she noticed that he was shaking.

"Archie?" Veronica said, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

Archie didn't answer. Which scared the hell out of Veronica. Then as Veronica fully woke up, she saw that Archie was having a seizure.

"MR ANDREWS" Veronica yelled as she then got off Archie's bed and then pulled Archie onto the floor.

Then about five minutes later, Fred burst into the room and when he saw Archie seizing, he rushed over to him.

"What happened?" Fred asked Veronica as Veronica laid Archie on his side.

"I don't know. I just woke up and saw him having a seizure" Veronica said as tears ran down her face.

"Ok. Stay here with Archie, I'm gonna go and call 911" Fred said as he then stood up and rushed out of the room.

Veronica then looked down at her boyfriend.

Fred then rushed back into the room.

"I've called the ambulance. They're gonna be here in about ten minutes" Fred said as he then kneeled down to Archie and Veronica.

"Don't worry, Archie. You're gonna be ok, son" Fred said as he tried everything to stop Archie from seizing.

Archie then slowly began to stop seizing.

Then after about ten minutes, the ambulance arrived. Fred led the paramedics up to Archie's room and then they assessed Archie.

"Still breathing. Heart rate is normal. The only problem is that he's not responding" one of the paramedics then said.

"Let's take him to the hospital for assessments" The other paramedic said.

"I agree" The first paramedic said.

Then the second paramedic got up and faced Fred and Veronica.

"Once we've taken your son to the hospital, Mr Andrews, we're gonna do some tests so we can figure out what caused your son to have a seizure" The paramedic said to Fred.

"Do you know how long he's going to be in the hospital for? I mean he just came out of hospital after being in a car accident" Veronica said.

"We don't know at this point but it's possible that Archie will have to stay overnight for observation" The second paramedic then said.

Then one of the paramedics left the room while the other paramedic stayed in the room with Fred, Veronica and Archie.

Then after about five minutes, the paramedic came back with a stretcher.
