For the next few weeks, Archie went through both gruelling and painful therapy in order to get feeling back into his legs.

The doctors had said that it would take probably at least four months for Archie's spine to properly heal but they also revealed that Archie could somehow defy the odds and be able to walk before after four months.

Archie was now at school, trying to get used to doing this while being temporarily wheelchair bound. His friends were helping him to all his classes and were also helping him with his homework.

Once or twice, he would be asked by a student or two how a football player as popular as he was, would end up in a wheelchair. Archie didn't feel entirely comfortable explaining to them so he allowed his friends to explain it. Starting with the day of the accident.

"We were walking home from school, complaining about how boring school was that day and all of a sudden, we hear car tires screeching. Archie, the hero that he is, pushed us all out of the way and was hit by the car. The car didn't stop and just kept on driving. Archie was then brought into the hospital where he was in a coma for a while" Jughead explained.

"Have the police found out who hit Archie?" Toni asked.

"No but FP has told us that he and the police department are getting closer to finding the driver" Betty said.

Archie then wheeled out of the student lounge and headed for his locker. Veronica looked on and decided to follow.

"Archie?" Veronica said, entering the hall. Archie stopped and turned the wheelchair so that he was facing Veronica.

"I can't take the pressure anymore" Archie said.

"What do you mean?" Veronica asked, moving closer to Archie.

"People constantly asking how this happened. It's just too much" Archie sighed.

"Well, talk to me. I can help" Veronica said.

"I don't think you can, Ronnie" Archie said as he then turned the wheelchair back around and headed for his locker. Veronica sighed sadly before re-entering the student lounge.

Once Archie was at his locker, he opened it and began trying to reach for his stuff. Which was a mistake because he ended up fall forwards onto the ground with his books falling on top of him.

"Here. I'll help" Mr Weatherbee's voice said. Archie's wheelchair was then tilted back up and then Archie was helped onto his chair. Mr Weatherbee then grabbed Archie's bag and school books and handed them to Archie.

"Going home?" Mr Weatherbee asked.

"Yeah, I can't really take the stress at the moment" Archie sighed as he filled his bag with his school books.

"Well, Ms Burble is alway here to talk. But in the meantime, take as many days as you need off, ok?" Mr Weatherbee said, putting his hand on Archie's shoulder.

"Thank you, Mr Weatherbee" Archie said with a small smile.

"That's quite alright, Mr Andrews" Mr Weatherbee said as he then walked off.

Archie then closed his locker and headed to the front of the school. Once he was outside, he wheeled himself down the ramp and then wheeled himself all the way to Pop's.

When he arrived, Pop came outside and helped Archie into the diner.

"What'll it be Arch?" Pop asked Archie as he helped the teen to a booth.

"Just a root beer shake please?" Archie asked.

"Root beer shake coming right up" Pop smiled as he then walked over to the kitchen and began making Archie's drink.

Suddenly, the door chimed and out of all the people in Riverdale that Archie least expected, Hiram entered the diner with Hermione.

"Archie. This is a surprise. Aren't you supposed to be in school?" Hiram asked.

"I left early" Archie said.

"Well in that case, do you mind if we join you? We can pay for your drink and something to eat if you want?" Hiram then asked.

"A hamburger and some curly fries would be nice, Mr Lodge" Archie said.

"Pop, can I order three hamburgers and three curly fries please?" Hiram asked.

"Sure thing Mr Lodge" Pop said. Hiram and Hermione then walked over to Archie's booth and sat next to Archie.

"So, what happened? Veronica told us that you were in an accident after saving hers, Betty's and Jughead's life" Hermione said.

"I don't remember much. All I really remember is being in massive amounts of pain. But there's also something else that I haven't told anyone about" Archie said.

"What's that?" Hiram asked.

"I wasn't just in a coma. I watched myself while I was in my coma" Archie said.

"What does that mean?" Hermione asked.

"I had an out of body experience" Archie said.

"Did you see anything besides your comatose self?" Hermione asked.

"I saw my Uncle. Uncle Oscar" Archie said.
