Midsummers

I've always thought midsummers was a waste of money , time and literally anything but this year I was actually excited for it . I was going with Rafe Cameron , I have dreamed about this day for like my whole life. There was also a little bit of worry in me as well, what would the pogues think of me going to midsummers with the guy who beat up JJ and Pope just a few nights ago. " y/n why haven't you started getting ready yet ? , Rafe will be here in an hour" I  hopped in the shower seeing my faded scars , a huge smile grew across my face . I could finally look at my scars and be happy there fading , I usually am filled with guilt when my scars fade but today was different. A good different. I straightened my hair and put some light makeup on, I then put on the dress I was wearing tonight, it fitted my body perfectly. I then stood in front of my mirror. Looking at my reflection , seeing everything that I need to fix or change . I felt someone place their hands around my waist. I looked up to see Rafe , he looked hot as ever in his suit and tie " what are you doing Rafe ? " I rolled my eyes "just seeing how well we look together y/n " a small smile appeared on my face as I blushed. He turned me around to face him , I placed my arms on his shoulders so that my hands would go nicely around his neck. We stood in this position for a while just stating at each other . Rafe started looking down at my lips while I did the same , knowing what we both wanted in this moment. " you look pretty in that " I was a little disappointed that what I thought was about to happen didn't end up happening
" I guess you don't look too bad yourself yourself Cameron " I say while tightening his tie. " y/n someone's here to see you " I started walking towards my dads voice " coming ! " I turned the corner " Barry , what are you doing here " I hugged him "can we talk y/n " I furrowed my brows "uh yeah sure " by this time my dad was in his room so we could have some privacy " so I don't know what's going on between you and Rafe but -" I placed my hand over his mouth " nothings going on between us and he's in my room " I whisper shouted " and before you think anything of that we are going to midsummers together and he was just picking me up"

" well I was just trying to tell you he came around to my house the other day to get coke , so if he offers you some don't take it " he sighed " I don't want you getting into that stuff ight "

" he buys off you ? " me and Barry still whisper shouting " yes he buys off me "

" well don't sell to him , I don't want him getting an addiction and if he already has one I don't want it to get worse "

" okay , but another thing " I rolled my eyes at those words " quickly I have to go soon "

" your not wearing a long sleeve " we both looked down at my wrists " well Sarah and Rafe already know and the only pogue that I'll be seeing there is kie so it doesn't really matter " he placed a hand on my shoulder " are you sure your ready for people to know your secret y/n " i smiled " it'll be okay Barry , I doubt anyone will even notice "

"Who was it ? " Rafe asked as I walked back into my room " oh it was just Barry , he thought we were dating " I joked looking down at my phone. I could feel his stare on me , after a while he snatched my phone right out of my hands " hey , give that back !"
I yelled reaching for it , but he held it too high for me to grab. "No thanks, I think I'll hold on to it" he murmurs with a lopsided smile. I decided the best thing to do was jump on top of him and try to reach for it again , but he leaned further into the headboard holding my phone away from me more. We both started laughing but to be honest I was scared he could see my messages to kie about my little crush on him. I thought he gave up when he put my phone on the bed side table " finally " I groaned trying to grab it "uh ah " he tsks slapping my hand away from it. "What" I snapped looking at him, but when our eyes met my gaze softened. I finally realised what position I'm in and my cheeks started heating up, I quickly scrambled off his lap but the force of an arm around my waist kept me in place . " just stay like this y/n" he mumbled "Rafe we have to go , it's already 4 in the afternoon and we have to be there at 4:30 "

My dad was meeting us there since he didn't like to walk in with the Cameron's , he always used to say 'I'm too funky to walk in with them !!' It always used to make me laugh at bit too hard . " y/n !!! " Sarah's voice echoed from across the parking lot " your alive ?" I joked " very funny y/n " she laughed " so where have you been these past few days ? " she looked pretty shocked when those words came out of my mouth , grabbing me by my arm so we have some privacy " what I'm about to tell you might shock you , but you can not tell anyone ok " i furrowed my brows " okay ?, go on "

"Me and John B are kinda dating , I'm not sure to be honest with you , but that's who I've been with lately" Worry took over her face when I wasn't saying anything " say something ? "

"That makes so much sense why you and John B have been so distant recently " i hummed " well you better tell me all about it tomorrow " I smiled "wait Sarah , what about topper ? " I asked " does he know"

"I'm planning on telling him tonight or tomorrow, I didn't plan this it kinda just happened so quickly" she said nervously.
